This property was geographically okay. However, the hotel is very tired and all the premises need a serious update and refurbishing. staff was helpful and friendly. breakfast had alot to be desired. coffee was the worst we had in italy

Liberty hotel was perhaps the home of an aristocrat, it has a period decor & shows great pride in their work. The parlor was inviting and we spent time with family chatting, reading , drawing, having a drink. Outstanding staff!

Hotel itself is quite lovely but beds are hard as rocks. Location is about 10 minute walk to historical center which was a bit disappointing.

The Best!
The Liberty was the last stop on our two week trip to the entire rim of Sicily. It was a wonderful end. The girl that checked us in was so friendly and joyful and gave us great directions to a place to eat. The room was marvelous. Felt like a countess! The perfect last night to a fabulous trip!

Small boutique hotel, approximately 10 minutes walk from the centre of Catania. The rooms are a good size, decorated in a period manner. The concierge Antonio is very helpful.

Staff were excellent & very obliging. They were very professional & there was an air of calm about the hotel which was a lovely contrast to the hustle & bustle of the city. Only comment would be that breakfast breads selection could be better

A gem of a hotel in Catania!
This is an amazing place! It is in an area just off the city center so it is quiet but accessible. The staff is SO kind and they gave us a free bottle of wine for our anniversary. The rooms were clean and large, with a balcony. And free breakfast every morning. While Catania has a bit more grit than other parts of Italy we have visited, we loved our time there! We were visiting from Miami, FL.

The Liberty Hotel is in a very non-descript neighborhood, and the sign at the front is small. Once inside it is elegant and gracious. All the staff was terrific, the front desk is staffed 24/7 (and so is the bar) and the rooms are beautiful. It’s a short walk to a main shopping street and many restaurants, and easy to see the sights of Catania. There’s a great ceramic studio and shop just a block away, Maninterra, with beautiful traditional and modern ceramics. Breakfast is generous and can be taken outside on the beautiful terrace.

The hotel itself was beautiful and grand. The room was lovely and the bathroom, so spacious. The staff could not have been nicer and more helpful. They went out of their way to make sure we were well taken care. We would love to visit again.

My check in with Alfonso was wonderful, He was welcoming, and explained everything thoroughly. The other staff was also terrific. Although we were a bit dubious at first about the immediate area around the hotel, our concerns were unfounded. It is safe, and located a walkable distance to many things.

Lovely hotel, friendly & helpful staff. Very comfortable room. Couldn't fault the hotel although the local area is rather tatty and untidy. Easy walk to city centre with lots to do and places to eat. Thank you, Liberty Hotel!

The staff really made the stay at this hotel enjoyable. From the welcome drink when we arrived to remembering our room numbers and going the extra mile to help out when our flights were cancelled. The hotel rooms were comfortable and main areas were lovely. The breakfast had plenty of options to suit all tastes. It was close to the historical centre and the main attractions were within walking distance. We would recommend staying here if you are looking for a hotel in Catania.

My room was spotless and the decor and ambience screwed of excellence. I am a veteran traveller, the staff at Liberty Hotel over the few days I was there were about as sweet, helpful, hospitable and excellent as a staff can be. Catania is awesome, and the Liberty makes the noise of the city even better. I still miss the Jasmine garden.
