Beautiful resort

Posted 15-Aug-2017
Pros: The rooms were spectacular and the views amazing.
Cons: Service could be improved.
We stayed here with 20 of our friends and LOVED every second. The food was AMAZING and the resort is gorgeous. We stayed in the panoramic suites that were across the street and they are spectacular. Highly recommend staying there and it's a 2 minute walk across the bridge to the lobby and beach, which was nothing. The only negative was room service took an hour most times and sometimes food service by the pool was very slow as well. Other than that, it was a beautiful place with excellent food and we will definitely be back.

Super Hard Sell

Posted 7-Aug-2017
As soon as we arrived they were trying to hard sell us. We bought our hotel room but felt as if we were part of a time share and nothing we had booked was sufficient.

Wonderful Time

Posted 6-Aug-2017
We had a great time and when we return to PV, we will definitely spend time at Garza Blanca again. It's a little pricey, but totally worth it. We did not do all inclusive and spent time off the resort often. We didn't have pushy timeshare people either, like some people had mentioned. We loved it. Beautiful room, beautiful ambience, wonderful staff!!

Nice hotel- but intensive on-property solicitation

Posted 2-Aug-2017
Pros: removed from downtown noise, integrated to jungle and beach
Cons: stop sales tactics and let you enjoy your holiday in peace.
A nice property in the quieter part of the Barra De Navidad area outside of downtown Vallarta. BUT from the moment you get there, it is SELL SELL SELL. Buy this, upgrade that, more more more. Too intense and unwanted

Nice hotel, constant techno music

Posted 31-Jul-2017
The hotel and room were nice , the food was above average , the problem is the constant techno music playing at every pool and blaring through speakers at the beach it was not relaxing , couldn't escape it!

Beautiful resort

Posted 29-Jul-2017
Pros: Beautiful grounds, great staff in a beautiful and peaceful location.
Cons: I would rather ha done without timeshare b.s. Did not enjoy wearing a bracelet for all inclusive. The restaurants needed sun shades early evening.
Location: Location was quiet and away from busy city. Mostly sport related activities at resort but thy were more unique than previous hotel stays.
We had a single bedroom with 2 baths, full kitchen, washer and dryer, large terrace. The suite was comfortable and nicely decorated. We were on sixth floor in building #3. Like all rooms in Garza Blanca this was ocean view. Room was very clean and housekeeping did a great job. Room was mostly quiet with the exception of road noise at night from trucks downshifting at speed bumps. There was also some daytime construction noise from room above. We were offered to move to another room next day but would have to pack our stuff, move then unpack, we opted to stay. Staff throughout hotel, restaurants, bar staff and spa were excellent. They were attentive, courteous and professional. We had all inclusive and ate all our meals at the restaurants. We ate at all three and the food was very good. Drinks were tasty, not strong, but not weak. Grounds were well kept with lush tropical vegetation throughout property.

Disappointing

Posted 17-Jul-2017
Pros: The view from the 2-bedroom panoramic condo.
Cons: They should maintain their apartments and making sure that they are safe. The local management doesn't have any concept of what liability means.
Location: There is nothing nearby. All water sport activities are around 40 minutes away. The city is 30 minutes away.
This hotel is nice. The view from the panoramic 2-bedroom condos is spectacular. The resort has only 2 main restaurants which makes the choice of food boring. The sushi restaurant is only for adults. My family vacation was going just fine until the day before our departure when the 100 + pound glass door to the restroom in my apartment got disconnected from its hinge and fell on me and went to pieces. It cut me open from head to toe requiring medical attention from the hotel medic to stop the bleeding. Today 5 days after the incident I am still having trouble walking as it is painful. So much for a vacation! Apparently the word liability doesn't exist in Mexico. I spent more than $7,000 for one week of stay and the hotel management offered me only $300 for the incident! Expedia should stop listing this hotel in their offering as in turn they would be liable for this hotel. The glass door could have cut my neck killing me or made me blind.

Fantastic!

Posted 14-Jul-2017
Cons: Include WIFI Acknowledge the +VIP advertised on the site.
We had a fantastic time here in June. We liked it so much that we booked 8 days in Aug. The beach and amenities are a perk! Free kayaking, snorkeling and paddle boarding! Where else can you get that included in your stay. Old PV is a cheap taxi ride up the road and they have some nice restaurants. 2 things. Why cant't WIFI be included? If it was 1999 I would understand but it's not. Also, I booked the +VIP and this literally means nothing. No perk to it whatsoever. Maybe they will prove me wrong in Aug. Who knows.
