Maravilla Resort has family-oriented vacation rentals. It is a relaxed resort community, and it is less crowded than the downtown Destin area. Many folks enjoy the view of the ocean from the beachside pool, and there is another large pool is located by the clubhouse for a relaxing day of sun! Maravilla features "low rise condo buildings" as opposed to "high rise condo buildings." Loved the private beach access and the pools. Guest bed could have been nicer but wasn’t bad for a short stay. Would have liked to know we couldn’t bring tents/canopy to the beach. Parking was great and nice to have ice to purchase. Would have been nice for all the check out information be the same. For example: everything I got said put air on 74° but when I went to checkout online it said 78°. We had to go back and change it. Queen bed was put in room on an angle due to small size of room. No bath in spare room, just outside of bedroom. Kitchen was ok a little small ... Only two adults can fit. Ice maker never worked at all bring your own ice! Was told it was "steps to the beach"...more like a 5 min walk and you had to crossover scenic 98 hwy.....not good if you have to tote a bunch of kids items as well as kids! No view of beach to speak of either...only from patio looking across hwy. Would have passed this one up if I would have been told this upfront. It's a decent condo but dated as well. This was our 4th stay at Miravilla. Every unit in the past has had beach service included. 2 chairs and an umbrella. Unit 3107 does not have beach service. This should be posted prominently on the properties website and if you're not going to provide the service maybe have some beach chairs stored in the condo. Beach service ending up costing us an additional $160 for 4 days. I left 2 beach chairs at the unit when I checked out but doubt that they are still there. Shower heads in both bathrooms are clearly original equipment (1980's) and do not work as they should. Ice maker in freezer didn't work the entire week. I put a service call for both and it was never taken care of during our stay. They did make some amends after our trip. Pull out sofa bed mattress was so thin and uncomfortable it couldn't be used by adults, luckily an air mattress was in closet. Crock pot in cabinet was useless since the heating part of the unit was missing, just had the pot. Floors were pretty dirty, not mopped. After checking out we witnessed a child helping to clean the unit. Overall, this unit did not live up to what we expect at Miravilla ##### Mike W. Layout of condo was perfect. Short walk to the beach was a real plus especially with the plethora of beach toys we had to haul with us for the kids.
