We will definitely return to this area!!

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The quality of our condo was awful. Glass slider in the master bedroom didn't even open, the slider in the living room was difficult to operate, knobs were missing off cabinet doors yet the sharp end of the screw was left exposed, laminate on the cabinet doors were torn off (looked like an abused fraternity house), lights didn't work/light bulbs out, picture frames cracked, trim on walls ripped off, cheap towels, no basic things like a hairdryer provided. The shower curtains weren't properly fitted, the list can get more detailed but overall the quality of the condo was worse than a college dorm room and little care has been given to the many issues. To pay full price for a unit that was in terrible care is beyond acceptable. I have pictures to accompany this review. As for the overall building, the weight room was well kept, the pools were small for the number of rooms, overall maintenance of the outside areas of the building were well kept. I would definitely not recommend the condo unit 514A to anyone until it is properly cared for and maintained. Too many hazards. We drove to Destin and enjoyed dinner at Boshamps...great atmosphere, Parlor Donuts the staff was excellent and the donuts unique. The staff that ran the chair rental on the beach were exceptional.

The dishwasher didn't work, the couches/sofa beds were broken down and could not be slept on, there was no curtain or even blinds on the sliding glass door in Living Room, several of the chairs at dining table wobbled, the Master broom sliding door did not work, the sheets on one of the beds was the wrong size and kept coming off and the Master bedroom tub would barely drain and the condo itself was not kept up.Also table on patio was broken.

Threw them away because we didn't know who they belonged to or how long they had been there.2. Thought silverware was clean started to use found 1 crusted over spoon. Thought it was an oversight put in dishwasher then found 2 more 3. Whole unit had 2 small bars of soap. 6 people? You could have left 6 small bars. No dish towel or dish washing liquid. 4. You should leave at least 2 bath cloths, 1 towel, and hand towel per person. You really should not have to wash clothes the second day of your stay.5. Balcony furniture definitely needs to be updated.6. No blind on balcony window in living room.7. Master bedroom had sheet for a curtain and a Moldy ceiling.8. Air conditioning vents need cleaningThe whole property needs a deep clean. Floors appeared to be cleaned with dirty water ---grimy around the edges.The small appliances and kitchen supplies need tobe updated. Coffee pot especially.Coffee cups were extremely stained.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were overall disappointed with the property. To start with there weren't curtains in any of the rooms and no blinds period in the living room or the bedroom with the balcony, which meant 100% light all the time. The pool even reflected into the apartment at night. 2 of the 4 TV's did not work (in bedrooms 2 and 3), 1 wouldn't power on and the other had a big black bar missing in the center of the screen. One of the beds had sand in it before we ever arrived, and was dingy which means clearly the sheets hadn't been changed between guests. The overall property was unclean when we entered as we swept a sizeable pile of dirt, sand, and hair up before we ever hit the beach. The kitchen utensils were dirty (food caked on them) and rusted and the coffee pot was a mess. The living room wall had a spot where they had been repainted with similar, but not matching paint (granted that could be forgivable). The patio furniture was extremely weathered, one of the wicker chairs even had a giant hole in the seat and was unusable. The toiletries were not enough for 10, let alone 8 adults for a week, only 1 roll of paper towels, a couple of rolls of TP, and 2 trash bags which required us to go buy our own. We understand sand happens, as it's a beachfront property, but the unit was gross and clearly hadn't been prepared for guests. The overall property (Seascapes) was beautiful and the view was amazing. But if you rent this property, beware, you're only paying for the view and proximity to the beach, not a fancy place to stay.

Unfortunately, the condo was in what I would consider poor condition. Molding was broken off the walls, the light cord to the fan in the main bedroom was missing, the bedroom furniture cabinets looked like it came from a second hand store. There were dirt marks on the ceiling in the shape of a fan circle and the blades didn't look like they had been cleaned for years. Thankfully, the bathrooms appeared clean. If we weren't intown for a large event we would have left and asked for a refund. If you like wonderful views and don't mind the appearance of your condo, then this unit is for you. We didn't think it was worth the price.

Reviewer Comments: I was a little aggravated that they did not notify me in advance that I would be unable to check-in early even though I prepaid for an early check-in. They did however refund the $100 but didn't offer to compenate us for the inconvenience. The master bedroom patio sliding glass door was stuck and extremely difficult to open. It was perfect for our family. We especially liked the inclusion of the chairs and umbrella daily. We are not "artsie fartsie" people, so the outdated decor wasn't an issue for us. The balcony overlooking the pool and Miramar beach was great. One hot tub wasn't working and even though they claim a heated indoor pool, it was not. We had a great time as it was a very handy location.

I paid for the early check in and at 1pm received a text message with a code to enter the unit. It was exactly as described but I do feel the unit could be updated with a more fresh and modern decor. Upon entering the unit we were greeted with the strong smell of bleach and seafood. My eyes began watering so i opened the door and balcony to try to air the unit out, but it was fruitless. I went to the store and purchased Febreeze Spray, candles and OdorBan to kill the smell which helped some, but the strong mixed odor lasted until the next day late in the afternoon. To eliminate the odor I had to burn febreeze candles throughout our stay. Also there was sand (visible) on the floor throughout the unit. We swept (which we purchased a broom since there was no broom or mop in the unit. Overall a nice stay but the cleaning could have been better.
