The property is in much need of updating!!!! My room was extremely clean and the bed was super comfortable. They have a tram (shuttle bus) that takes you around the resort. They have beach access, restaurants, shopping, golfing, and activities all within the resort limits. The hotel website says remodeled but lots of issues. Paint coming off in room and in elevators. Outside pool lights not working — outside chair cushions were filthy. Burnt out light bulbs in room. Furniture all nicked up. Curtains falling. Light fixture in bathroom failing off. Lamp shade cracked. Exhaust fan in bathroom rattled and had not ceiling plate cover. WiFi would not work the entire stay. I will not return bc of all the issues. The suite was very nice. The view of the bay was beautiful. I read a review about the walls being paper thin and that they were. You could hear every toilet flush and every shower. You could hear the water running through the pipes. Other than that, it was good. The area is nice. First I did not receive the room I had paid for Sandestin has rooms overlooking the Bayside back and the other the golf course.. Facing the front.. The corner rooms have extra features like a kitchen island and an extra outside covered patio for sitting.. Those are the ones I paid for.. Which were more than the cheaper room I got.. No patio no island but it did come with a view to the opposite side... The parking lot and the golf course.. Way out in the distance.. I called front office.. And the didn't want to help me.. Said they were all taken.. But i had paid for mine months in advance.. So i called Hotels.com and all they did was discount me 100$ on any night stay anywhere else.. But i paid 600+ dollars for two nights in a room that was priced cheaper two months ago.. And not the one I wanted.. So my wife's and my Anniversary was ruined as soon as we arrived.Great job guys for not fighting with me and making me happy.. I guess we're just another fish in the sea to you guys.. We decided to go to Destin for my daughter's birthday. We knew the hotel wasn't the best but best deal on the web. We got there and opened the door to a king room. For 4 people, that just didn't work. We had to go back and get another room. Of course, they only had 1 king and a pull out sofa available. Oh, but it was a single bed so my daughter had to sleep with us. She is the same size as her mom and sister. Needless to say, it was too cozy. On line it said 2 full beds. You don't always get what you bargain for. One good thing is we only booked 1 night.
