« Frequently stay in the Fairplay area for work and the Hand hotel has been by far the most enjoyable place to stay. The other option (Riverside Inn) has always been extremely noisy and the staff don't seem to care much about customer concerns. The Hand hotel staff were excellent and it was convenient having the cafe down-stairs... just be aware it isn't open every morning, but there are other options close by. It is a historic building so keep that in mind when booking. »

« Our firstvroom the heat and air didn't work, then the toilet wouldn't flush. They gave us a different room, went to the new room and there was people already in that room. The third room we were put in wasn't updated like the other rooms were. Also, the pool and hot tub that was advertised (also why we chose this hotel) was all under construction. This was after the employees checked us in, watch us try to get in the pool are and never notified us of this. »

« This is a lovely little Inn right next to the river. They serve a nice breakfast and I really enjoyed the cozy sitting area in the lobby with a fire. It Was very peaceful UNTIL my last night when the Fire Alarm went off 3 Times !! 7pm, 9:30pm & 11:40pm..... there was no fire. It was a surprise to the staff as well as the guests and went on for a very long time. I spoke to the front guest on check out about some kind of compensation for this Major disruption. I was told my number would be given...

« Quoique l'hôtel n'est pas rénové, il était très propre. La chambre, la salle de bain, les lits et les serviettes étaient impeccables. Par contre, le déjeuner ne comprenait que des items à consommer froid et aucune vaisselle non-jetable. »
