Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. Veteran's Park is within walking distance for hiking, mini golf or the two 25-yard lap swimming pool. Please respect our neighbors; especially during quiet times from 10PM - 8AM. NO PARTIES, CONFETTI, narrow streamers or other small celebration items as it's very difficult for cleaners to thoroughly clean. Also please do not re-arrange furniture. Garbage can overflowing. Contacted owners and they got the door lock programmed with the number so we could get in. Then found the house was not cleaned…dirty bedding and towels were still on the floor of the basement laundry room. There was no laundry soap. Had had to go get some. We spent over 4 hours doing laundry to get clean bedding and wasn’t able to go to bed until after midnight. Downstairs smoke alarm does not work. Basement windows were blocked so if something would have happened we would be able to get out. There were no washcloths anywhere. One bathroom did not have hand soap. No glasses for drinks and had to go buy some. Some pillows were so dirty and gross. Stains on the comforters. Very safe neighborhood and our own driveway to park.I assume this is a newer listing on VRBO and the owners are going to stock up on extra pillows and blankets, sheets for the couch and washcloths for the cold Minnesota winters. Has a coffee maker and filters for hot coffee in the morning or Caribou Coffee is right around the corner. I was most pleased about having two fresh new bathrooms. The interior is just as described, newly renovated. Our party of 6 adults had plenty of room, even with only 2 bathrooms. It is very close to Minneapolis and St. Paul. The neighborhood is very safe. The outside does need work. A good coat of paint and some landscaping will do the trick. \*The down side- the lock combo would not let us in, after about an hour of phone calls to the homeowner and VRBO, the combo was reset with no further problems. \*Be prepared to do some house cleaning: The trash from the previous guests was still in the trash cans. The bathtub was full of grass, looked like someone washed their feet or shoes and it was not cleaned. \*Lamps are needed in bedrooms and in the living areas. \*TV remote will not turn of TV, you must unplug it. \* Window curtains are only in the bedrooms. The common area windows have sheer curtains, including the bathroom. We hung a towel over it since the back yard neighbors could look straight in at us. \*You MUST bring and not provided: wash cloths/face towels, soap, and paper towels. \* reason for a 4 star rating is simply based on the lack cleanliness of the kitchen and bath room. It made me wonder if the house had been cleaned at all before we arrived. As well as the lack of curtains for privacy. \*\*\*\*It is definitely a place that we will stay again. ##### SAM M. The bunk room was perfect for the four kiddos and all the beds were very comfortable. The inside was newly renovated but the outside appears to be a work in progress but that did not affect us at all! Here are some pros and cons. Pros: -location was great about 5 min from MOA, 15 from the outlet malls and about 25-30 from Valley Fair -nice bath towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner all provided -full size washer and dryer -large downstairs living area and upstairs as well -large refrigerator -great communication with the host Cons: -very limited kitchen supplies (no toaster and limited utensils). However, this did not bother us as we brought sandwich making stuff and didn’t plan on cooking this trip. -no wash cloths -even though the main level living room was large, it needs to be rearranged so when lounging on the couch you can see the tv. This is a newer rental and I’m sure over time more things will be added to the home. Over all the home is in a quiet neighborhood and fulfilled all our needs! As an older house there were a few minor drawbacks including no way to close the air vents, some interior doors were difficult to close and the exterior of the house hadn’t been updated yet-but none of these were a real problem for us. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. Dead-end, quiet street allowed our kids to play catch in the street without traffic to worry about.
