"This is not the first time I have been in this hotel over the past years and every time I arrived I find it is worse. BUT, the rooms have been updated which is one redeaming issue. The common areas are disgusting! The person that checked me in was very nice and very quick. He also gave me a room that was not in a loud area of the hotel. This is March break and there are a lot of people partying. "

"The room was good, bed was comfortable. We did not have an enjoyable stay though. For 2 nights in a row other guests close to our room were being loud, roudy, running up and down the hall, banging on the walls. Hotel staff seemed to not do anything to deal with the problem. There are very few stores available for shopping in the mall. "

"The staff were lovely the rooms were tidy not clean.Linens and pillowcases were stained. The hot tub was dirty and unsanitary. It was 70 days overdue for water change. There was never any pool towels at the pool. The elevator had not been cleaned with fingerprints and smudges all over the stainless steel"

"We enjoyed our stay and were offered and given an inexpensive upgrade that was worth it. Location was perfect and hotel was family friendly! Parking was easy to find and we would definitely stay there again!"

"The pool was awesome and the water slide was super fun! All of the staff we interacted with (front desk and cleaning) were very warm and friendly. Everything was very clean and the free breakfast was fantastic! Full buffet! We would definitely stay here again!"

"Excellent location and historical touch.You get everything you need in Spring Garden St. Staff was very pleasant, particularly the porters. Doors have to be slightly adjusted so that they close in a slowler fashion. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dalhousie University or the downtown area. "
