« My family gathered from three different US states to celebrate our mother's 90th birthday in Waverley Cottage. The owner was very responsive to our every need, even installing a grab bar in the bathroom for his oldest guest so far! The cottage was plenty spacious for the eight of us, and so lovely, allowing spectacular views of the lake on three sides. « We had a wonderful stay ! Thanks to the hosts, they were great ! The cottage is even better in real than advertised. There are beautiful beaches near the cottage. Our favorite one is Clam Harbor. Martinique Beach and Taylor Head are also nice. All the beaches were recommended by the hosts. Cottage is only one hour from Halifax. The host recommended to take the ferry from Dartmouth to Halifax. « Nice and peaceful. Felt like we were on a houseboat. The sound of the waves against the rocks was mesmerizing. Chris was great. He left some food for us, and as we were getting in late, it was much appreciated. The bathroom was a bit tight, but we could manage. »
