Lake Anna State Park is directly across the lake and High Point Marina is four miles away. Take pleasure in fishing for striped and hybrid bass frequenting the “splits” where the North Anna River and Pamunkey Creek converge nearby. Delight in several wineries, waterfront restaurants, equestrian centers, and golf resorts for an extra luxurious vacation experience. A standout feature of this hideout is the ample outdoor space. The dock is terrific for sunbathing, swimming, and features wonderful sunset views. Sit around the fire pit with your loved ones for s’mores under the stars or relax on the dock with a glass of wine. Being right on the water was great, but there were quite a few details that were lacking. When we arrived, there were dustballs on the floor, and after walking around in socks for a few hours (at the owner's request of no shoes), our socks were black. The chandeliers were beautiful, but when the nighttime came and the lights came on, there were cobwebs everywhere and bugs in the globes. Other details like a broken ceiling fan, a queen mattress pad on a full mattress in the upstairs bedroom, unkempt trees inhibiting the driveway and fish station, and no scissors, fly swatter, or bath mats kept our stay from being ideal. With some improvements, this could be a really great stay, but we found there were quite a few things that were subpar. ##### Amanda M.
