The grounds are lovely. We enjoyed the Serenity suite we were set up in. Had a great sleep and enjoyed a soak in the jacuzzi tub before breakfast. As for breakfast…..top notch!!! Enjoyed the company and conversation at breakfast as well. They make you feel like they already know you. Engaging and entertaining. Lovely hosts and beautiful home with old charm throughout and delicious breakfast served when you want it! They let you select the breakfast when you check in and the time you want to eat. Very nice touch. The home is truly beautiful inside and out with a luxury feel and fine finishes (the wood floor in our room was very intricate and you could definitely tell it was costly in it's day). Everything about the home was lovely. The neighborhood, not so much, it's very run down and the home just across the street is boarded up. Very loud neighbors, talking loud and yelling most the day, loud music, and cars. It definitely took away from the luxury feel, although DEFINITELY not the fault of the hosts! We ran the air conditioner / fan at night to override the noise and had no issues sleeping. We parked our car in their driveway lot and had no issues there either. Beware, extra fees when booked on here... Best shower every and if you always wanted to take a bath in a Victorian tub this is for you.The inn keepers put in a water filtration system makes water more pure than bottle water. For the wine lovers you can buy bottles at the b and b and theres afternoon tea but must be booked in advance . The chef is Rick he makes the most delicious breakfasts straight out of Wisconsin. The bed is very luxurious .This place has the charm and warmth of a 1890s house and a garden to back it up. Uber is fast and there is public transportation a block south. Book for a night or weekend or bridal shower or a wedding you wont regert it. The Schuster Mansion is a hidden gem in downtown Milwaukee. Built in 1891, it is an architectural marvel. When you consider that the building is 134 years old, the insider is essentially pristine. The rooms are furnished in the style of the period which means that the guest is able to experience what it would have been like. The breakfast choices are excellent. We really enjoyed the chance to 'dine' for breakfast. It is definitely an experience to share be served your breakfast with real silverware and china.
