The clubhouse (golf, fine dining, indoor/outdoor and wave pools, kids club and racket sports) is just a short walk (100 yards) away making it a perfect gateway for multi-family vacations at the 5-star rated community of "The Peninsula". Our family is often enjoying the house and area throughout the whole year but are happy to share it with other families or groups of friends occasionally. READ THIS: We honor VRBO inquiries and reservations for "Grand Slam House Peninsula" initiated through this platform, but are not listed here exclusively (check out grandslamhouse.com/ ). Our \~5000 sqft house with open floor plan and custom interior paint has been recently finished and features 6 large bright and airy bedrooms (each with their own bath and cable TV), a large professional kitchen with two dining areas, a Great Room with fireplace (operational in winter only) and 85”TV; as well as a large, second floor loft with 75” TV for entertainment. You will experience fantastic outdoor living with a \~600 sqft deck and a partially screened porch, and three second floor porches directed towards the sixth Green of the Peninsula Golf Course as well as the Indian River Bay. Our Foosball table and pinball machine will entertain the younger folks. HDTV’s in each BR (FIOS) with FIOS high speed internet throughout the house. The first floor Master BR includes a King Size Bed (BR 1 in house sketch), walk-in closet, and designer bath. The 2nd first floor BR (BR 2) also has two Twin Size Beds, walk-in full bath. On the second floor four additional BRs are located (all with their own walk-in bath for privacy): a second Master with King Bed (BR3), a King BR (BR4), a Queen BR (BR5), and a large BR (BR6) with bunk bed & two twins. There is ample sleeping space for 14 people. We provide linen as part of the booking. Towels can be supplied upon request ($120). The Peninsula is a private, gated waterfront community offering world-class amenities including a championship golf experience, a full-service spa, indoor/outdoor pools and hot tubs, an outdoor wave pool, a professionally designed tennis (4 Premier & 2 Har-Tru courts) & pickle ball venue (6 courts), lighted basketball courts, large kids game room, the Terrace Grille, 33,000 sq. ft. clubhouse and more! Guests will have access to the world-renowned private Jack Nicklaus golf course ranked as a top course in Delaware (extra fee applies). There are also water sports on the bay through paddleboard and kayak rentals. Please note to access the Peninsula amenities, renters will need to purchase guest passes directly through the Peninsula at the desk at the Athletic Club at an additional fee. The Peninsula is located a short drive from Rehoboth Beach , which is known to many as "The Nation's Summer Capital”. Rehoboth offers a wide range of shopping adventures and an array of fine dining options. The magnificent mile-long boardwalk was awarded the title of "Best of America" by Reader's and is lined with shops, restaurants and lots of entertainment for the whole family. For our property, Peninsula rules allow for a maximum of 4 (FOUR) cars to be checked in at the gatehouse! We do have a Level 2 Charger (JuiceBox) installed in the garage if you bring your EV and want to charge it overnight. We will provide linen/sheets but please bring your own towels. Everything is within walking distance—pools, the beach, and a beautiful nature trail. This newly built, spacious, and immaculately clean rental is located conveniently as the first house adjacent to the community and golf center, with the beach pier just a stroll away. So nice to just walk over from the pools for the kids (and adults) to take a break in the air-conditioned house. The recently opened third pool features an obstacle course, volleyball and other water games which was a hit with the kids. On our final day, we were treated to a spectacle as Peninsula fathers joined in, armed with water guns, sprayed the kids (and dads) amid the obstacle challenges—truly a highlight of our stay. We rented bikes and kayaks from the club and spend a couple of days at the Rehoboth beaches. We treated ourselves to two dinners at the clubhouse with the remaining week cooking/grilling in the generously stocked, chef kitchen in the house. We have rented numerous beach houses in the area over the years, but the Grand Slam House stands out as the most remarkable. This home is absolutely beautiful and large enough for our family of 12\. The amenities in this community are wonderful as well, the kids loved the wave pool and watching the fireworks from the upstairs balcony. We ate at both the Terrace Club and the Clubhouse located on property, and the food in both were amazing! We also visited both Bethany and Rehoboth beaches as well as the boardwalk, and although they are both nearby, the traffic in Delaware makes them 35-45 minutes travel time. The beaches are beautiful and clean! The owner of this property was very accommodating and answered all inquiries in a timely manner. This home is in a beautiful growing community, that enabled us to easily walk to the pools, clubhouse, workout facility, etc in just minutes. Stunning home for our 2023 family vacation! Thank you for sharing your home with us, if we ever get back to Delaware we will certainly stay here again! Communication with Dirk was super-fast and he made the check-in (going thru the gate house, having all the beds made at arrival, turning on the heat, getting the club passes, etc.) easy, so organized! The house is super clean, and Dirk provides some helpful labels for the many switches and other equipment to simplify their use. The house is very large but still provides multiple cozy spaces. Mostly, we hang out in the kitchen where the whole family had space to eat and chat! A perfect spot for some of us to cook (all the necessary supplies such as pots and pans are provided, so well equipped) and to watch football on the big screen in the living room. It was too cold to enjoy the outdoor space, but the house has multiple decks, and the view is incredible in the morning and evening at sunset! Dirk placed a Christmas tree in the living room which made us really enjoy the holidays. We highly recommend visiting the community pier at sunset, what a beautiful place to see the complete bay! Nov 14, 2022 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### The best vacation with the whole family We spent the week at the Grand Slam House with 3 generations enjoying every minute in this beautiful home. The brand new house is truly amazing, from the professional, fully stocked kitchen, to the multi-story common areas, to the number of bedrooms each with its own bath and TV. The house is spotless, and the decoration is so detailed and stunning creating a luxurious and welcoming feeling every time you enter it. We have been traveling the world and this vacation experience was truly top notch! We were lucky with the weather in November and were able to use the outside spaces and many of the amenities the Peninsula has to offer. The outside porch is looking at the 6th hole green and we enjoyed watching the golfers from the 1st and 2nd floor deck. The kids loved the indoor pool area (adults jumped into the hot tub) and we all played pickle ball in the stadium courts (the club provides paddles and balls). Here, we met other players which made it so much more fun. We did have to pay the extra fee for the amenities, but it is a great investment to get the most out of your stay. The hit for everyone is the bonus room with Foosball and pinball machine. We had quite a bit of competition between the generations, and this made it a truly memorable vacation. The house has so much space that we were able to chat in the kitchen undisturbed while the kids were upstairs having a great time. Finally, communication with Dirk was easy and fast. His personal website at www.grandslamhouse,com has many recommendations and is a great resource for check in and out as well. We have already booked for the next summer with him directly as the kids want to come back and enjoy the wave pool and all the other summer activities the area has to offer.
