Milan is an expensive city so given this, Cinque Giornate was a good find. As a three star hotel, my expectation is relatively no frills, however the staff were polite and helpful, the rooms were clean and the breakfast although unremarkable was certainly passable.
It really wins though on value and location - it's on the direct bus route to Linate (73 bus leaves from outside the door and takes 20 mins to airport) and is an easy 10 minute walk into the historical centre, the Duomo and the sites.
The only real downsides to the hotel were that the rooms were extremely hot and a little noisy as it is on a main road, equally in our room the safe didn't work. other than that Cinque Giornate served us well.
