![Boyd's Windmill, also known as Boyd's Wind Grist Mill, is a historic smock mill in Middletown, Rhode Island. John Peterson built the windmill in 1810, and William Boyd purchased it in 1815. It originally had four common sails, but four more were added by the family. The mill is a timber-frame structure, octagonal in shape, and about 30 feet (9.1 m) tall, with a rotating cap powered by eight vanes with canvas sheets.
The mill is located on a public area so the grounds are open. The windmill itself is open to the public on Sunday afternoons in July, August and September.

« Hôtel d étape, un peu éloigné des attractions ce qui peut être un problème car les parkings sont payants à Newport. Pas de restaurants alentour le plus proche est un Domino’s à 290m. La chambre est vaste, propre et équipée d’ un frigo et d’ un micro onde. Salle de bain « à l américaine » c est a dire un pommeau de douche au dessus d une baignoire , pas de flexible. Pression et chaleur excellentes. Le petit déjeuner en buffet inclus est une rigolade, il n y a visiblement pas de cuisine donc tout...

« We loved our stay! Our host was very attentive which made our check in and out, easy. The house was FULLY stocked which was a huge plus. We would absolutely consider renting again on our next trip.Although it did not detract from the overall stay, I would like to warn guests (especially older guests) of the raised dining room, which you can see in the property photos. It is elevated above the kitchen and the living room areas and the two floor levels blend in seamlessly. Even knowing the step...

"Hôtel d étape, un peu éloigné des attractions ce qui peut être un problème car les parkings sont payants à Newport. Pas de restaurants alentour le plus proche est un Domino’s à 290m. La chambre est vaste, propre et équipée d’ un frigo et d’ un micro onde. Salle de bain « à l américaine » c est a dire un pommeau de douche au dessus d une baignoire , pas de flexible. Pression et chaleur excellentes. Le petit déjeuner en buffet inclus est une rigolade, il n y a visiblement pas de cuisine donc tout est en sachet, que des sucreries et des hamburgers cahoutchouteux, même pas de pain et beurre. Le personnel est agréable et a l écoute."
