The property has been updated. We had to attend a funeral and this location was very close to the funeral home and Church. The breakfast was a great plus!

2 issues: 1) The outside door at the far end of the building is always unlocked. 2) The walls allow a lot of sound to pass through - I could hear people in the next room on the telephone. 1 Attaboy: The breakfast had "real" food, (eggs, meats, waffles, fruit, etc) which tasted fine and was fresh.

This is our second stay at The Hub. What worked for us in this visit is the Red Bank Train station was only 9 minutes away from the hotel so it was an easy trip to the train. Also, my husband enjoys the free breakfast! The hotel is also close to shopping and restaurants. We will definitely stay again!

Visited My Hometown
The room, TV, and breakfast were very good. But the phone did not let me either arrange a wake up call or speak with the front desk. And the shower doors should be frosted, in case someone unexpectedly enters the bathroom.

Awesome
Convenient location, easy check-in, cool decor, comfortable bed & pillows, very clean! Fridge, micro and coffee in room. Everything we needed, reasonable price. Shopping &dining nearby. Could use a few more towels (only 2 bath towels)

I loved this hotel. Price was great, location was great, staff was great, and room was great.. compared to similarly-priced hotels in the area, that is a great choice. will stay there every month when I visit my company's facility in Tinton Falls.

Nicer than I was expecting. The room was spacious. The quick interactions I had with the staff were pleasant. Check-in was very quick. The room had a small sitting area (facing the parking lot) via a sliding door. The furniture is contemporary. The mattress was harder than I like and the platform/box spring would squeak getting in or out or sitting on the bed. Loudly. The remote for the TV didn’t work. The toilet tank was not properly connected to the bowl and would move when flushing. Didn’t use the following: food services, shower, refrigerator, microwave, body towels, dresser, armorie. The lobby was decorated nicely but the halls and rug are dated.

This was a terrible choice. We were in NJ for a funeral and we chose the HUB Middletown based on photos and recent reviews but the experience was awful. We were in the first room off the front desk right next to private entrance. This private entrance says key required but it was never locked which made me feel very unsafe. The room was directly below a very loud party that went on most of the night up and down the stairs as well as in and out this unlocked door. There were numerous people arguing very loudly in the parking lot just outside of our room. There were numerous bugs in the room and the bed was covered in plastic under the bedding. When we checked out after the first night no one even asked why we were leaving a day early. We will never stay there again!!! Staff was rude and unprofessional. We were advised we are not eligible for a refund no matter the circumstances as we chose to stay 1 out of 2nights. We are from NC and now after my aunt’s funeral we were seeking a new place to stay. Very stressful and upsetting!

We have stayed here many times over the years as we love to go to Sandy Hook beach and it’s a quick easy ride to the hub and more affordable than the couple of hotels near the beach. Very clean, staff is friendly and accommodating and upgrades are great! This year for unknown reasons the beautiful pool has been closed for most of the summer. It won’t stop us from returning but I hope by next summer the problems will be resolved

The only bad thing about my stay was that the pool was closed. I stayed from September 1st to the 4th (Labor day) Usually pools are closed the day after labor day. ☹️ The pool looked absolutely beautiful so it was so hard to see it and not be able to enjoy it. I do plan on returning next summer I'll just make sure the pool is open before booking my stay.

It's was quiet and clean. The staff were very helpful and breakfast was better than we imagined it could be. Iron and ironing board, refrigerator and microwave were all great to have. The only bad thing was that the shower was very touchy when adjusting the temp. That's not so bad.

Need competent front desk
The front desk was a mess. The people working there did not know what they were doing. I was charged multiple times for multiple rooms. All got settled but it was chaos, not to mention the night desk person does not speak english and my son-in-law had to use google translate to check in. Also the outdoor pool looked amazing but it was closed...and it was 90*.
