"Buffet breakfast wasn’t good. Neither was food and service in port 74 restaurant. Room service skipped giving us everything that was supposed to be included in the dish then tried to charge us when asked for it and they got it separately. Room phone didn’t work properly and they didn’t change it even though we asked in our 5 days stay. Housekeeping was great. The Italian restaurant was superb and their service. Icecream is delicious. "This hotel is really lovely. The rooms are nice and spacious, clean and bright with an amazing view from the balcony. It was in a lovely peaceful, quiet location within walking distance to the centre and the lovely harbour. The food is excellent and the staff are really friendly and helpful."

"Good hotel with service to match at a price as is everything in Croatia. A 7 day cruise would be cheaper and a lot more exciting, especially when you take the car parking fees into consideration. But the Valamar Meteor is probably one of the best in Makarske and would recommend it."
