The hotel itself is beautiful, very nice, the lobby is magnificent to look at. Some of the hotel staff are rude. The prices for food and drinks in the lobby lounge are VERY expensive, equivalent to $25AUD for one pot of tea!!!! The hotel is also a long way from any restaurants, so keep this in mind when booking.

Hotel is attached to the subway and China World Mall, making transportation, shopping, and restaurants very convenient. Things inside the hotel are overpriced, staff will answer questions but not overly helpful. GuoMao is the Central Business District and is a great neighborhood to stay at - because you will be comfortable. However, if you want to be close to nightlife, stay at Sanlitun or Chaoyang.

The rooms are beautiful and very well appointed. The bed is super comfortable and the view was fantastic. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the lack of English speaking staff. They seem to struggle with the language (understandable) but it was more their attitude as soon as they found out we were from Canada. Pretty arrogant staff.
