Stay in a beautifully restored studio in the Uptown Arts District of Michigan City. This studio, is less than a block to Franklin Street. Easily within walking distance of so many new restaurants, and coffee shops. This elevated studio used to be home to a storefront, and has amazing light. The furniture is all beautifully done, as you can see in the pictures. Spend the day at the beach, and then relax and unwind in the heart of the Uptown Arts District. I was approached by a homeless man as i was entering the apartment. I realize that this could happen anywhere but it was unsettling. The apartment and location are great. Window AC that was not on upon arrival, it was super hot when we got there. The room was clean, there are stains on the main bedding, and there where black hairs stuck to the mirror. Well stocked kitchen, super comfortable bed (want that oh so soft quilt), beautiful décor and very close to a main street through town. You can hear train whistles and the church bells but this just adds to the ambience of the location. I can't say that they stop at night, but we didn't hear anything after 10pm. Nice that the shower and toilet areas were separate and that there was a mirror above the dresser. Parking right in front. Especially want to thank Dustin for recommending Farina's Supper Club for our anniversary dinner. The 2 nights we stayed here were wonderful and we had all we needed. The location is close to several fun restaurants, and was a quick trip to the beach, the casino, and the outlet mall. The studio was just the right size for the two of us, was very clean and had all the essentials we needed, and had a super relaxed boho vibe. We had a small hiccup with the lock when we arrived, but Dustin responded and resolved the issue immediately.
