Not very comfortable, kind of smells weird. Bar and restaurant are not open during the day. Hallways smelt moldy. No pool.

Great Value

Posted 9-Feb-2018
Pros: Proximity to the beach and great restaurants and shopping.
The reviews were very mixed on this hotel; however, we chose it due to the location and proximity to the beach. We were very pleased that we did. The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and we were within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go (except we took an Uber to the Miami Sea Aquarium). This hotel is located just a couple minutes walk from the beach. There's nothing fancy to this hotel, but it is everything we needed for the three nights we spent on South Beach. Note: We had read that guests could use the pool at The Raleigh hotel, but The Raleigh is currently closed.

Close to the beach

Hotel was nice. Bed wasn’t as comfortable as I’d hoped. Hotel staff was beyond friendly and helpful. Everything is white so hard to look clean. Great deal for price and location.

Where are the housekeepers?

Posted 3-Jan-2018
Pros: Convenient, close to the beach and pleasant staff. The staff at the rooftop bar (The Cape) was very friendly.
Cons: Housekeeping. TV channel selection in rooms with Samsung TVs (don't ask me, that's what they told me), wifi.
Location: Beach, great food at Sylvano's
I like the Town House and have stayed here before. I was surprised this by the lack of housekeeping. We received *no* housekeeping one day of our stay -- despite the fact that we posted the sign requesting it. We booked two rooms and the service, when provided, was wildly inconsistent. No washcloths some days. No bathmat other days. Dirty glasses from The Cape (rooftop bar) left behind on those days service was provided -- FOR THE ENTIRE STAY! it became a bit of a test/joke to see if they'd be removed. Our two rooms were on separate floors, and the inconsistency was the same, so it wasn't the fault of a single housekeeper. I did let the front desk know about this as I checked out, and I hope it improves. Two other issues where technological: the wifi throughout the hotel is terrible. It needs a serious upgrade, and needs to be stabilized. Many times wifi simply dropped, and when it was connected it was like 1998 dialup in terms of speed. Finally, the TV is one room seemed to received just a few channels, while the one in the other was far better. Unsure how this could even happen but it is a fact.

Disappointing

Posted 15-Dec-2017
Be aware that not all of the listed amenities are complimentary. The continental breakfast only comes with "certain" rooms, and the valet parking refers to the only parking option available for the hotel (and costs $36/night). The room was clean, but very small. There were no washcloths provided in the bathroom, and some of the towels were threadbare/had holes. Additionally, the staff could not find extra blankets when asked for them. Overall, it was a cute place but very disappointing--most of which could have been explained up front if the website was clearer about what does/does not come with your room rate.

Nice hotel & close to the beach

Posted 20-Nov-2017
Pros: Location was perfect for this hotel!
Cons: Updating the hallways would brighten up the hotel. The bedrooms are so bright and vibrant and the hallways are dark.
Location: Scooter rentals. Bars. Restaurants. Liquor Store. Souvenirs.
We stayed here for 1 night. We really liked this hotel. Check in was easy and the room was bright, white & clean. The iPhone speaker adapter was great! Bathroom was a little small, but was really no problem. The restaurant downstairs was so good! And the drinks were even better! It ended up raining that evening, so we couldn't enjoy the rooftop bar so we stayed downstairs at the restaurant bar. We had the spicy lobster ramen soup and it was delicious! The bar tender & staff was very friendly. The front desk does sell wine, soda and snacks. The swings at the front entrance were nice to enjoy in the morning once the weather cleared up. Valet was friendly as well. $36/day to park. Front desk did recommend us to check out Wynwood Art District which we did and we LOVED it. We were glad he recommended Wynwood to us. Breakfast in the morning was delicious! The beach is a block away and this hotel is perfect walking distance to EVERYTHING! We rented scooters a few blocks down from the hotel also. We really had a nice time in this hotel and look forward to going back.

Cozy stay next to beach

Posted 18-Nov-2017
Charming. Close to beach. Rent bikes. Small room but clean and meets needs well. They could update the carpets but that’s literally the only complaint so not really a complaint.

Great hotel. Exactly what we wanted and the picture online was exactly how the room was! Front desk was very nice and valet handled our car!
