It was all around lovely. great suite with balcony and ocean view. so peaceful inside for real R&R. Amazing pool and plenty of action just one block away on Lincoln rd if you need to shop or get something from Walgreens any time of day or night- And an uber ride away from best restaurants

The lobby area, bars, restaurants and outdoor areas were very nice, and the patio and pool areas were very well kept, quiet and relaxing. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful.

We had an excellent stay! Staff and the hotel are outstanding. Our room and bath were very small. Not enough light in the room in our opinion.. Romantic but in the evening you don’t see anything!

The property was beautiful with lots of stuff working walking distance.. It was great being able to see the ocean outside of the bedroom. The staff was friendly and the food at the resort was good. However the room was small and the bathroom was very tiny. Every time we used the shower it would smell of sewage for awhile..

Next door hotel can be a bit loud and the amenities at pool which are part of the room were not ready at our entrance, however the National hotel was very good in service, location, service and cleanliness, the staff is very kind and we love the pool and the beach area. We definitely recommend staying there, I know we will next time too.

Terrible service, room wasn’t cleaned after several requests, the hotel is in disrepair and the rooms are matchbox tiny. The front desk manager was rude, the food was mediocre & the pool had a layer of funk floating on top. We will not be back.

BEST THING ABOUT THIS PLACE: an Amazing server named ERIK 💕THE END! At a glance seems glamorous and clean. Unfortunately later we started noticing leaking through the building. Main lobby bar closed earlier than advertised. Lobby had to be sectioned off. Water was shut off for hours with no real time frame or answers. Guest services aren’t properly trained to give directions. Turn down service has to be chased down to remove trash/replace towels. They provide a texting service for anything you need and it’s pointless because they do not communicate. I’d recommend a rental closer to Miami. If you insist on southbeach then I’m sure you can find a better option. FYI private beach only means that they will try to seat you. And you have the option to order drinks. Make sure to go eat at Old Havana 💕

We stayed during Miami Music week for the parties. It was great that we were able to attend one of the days of our choice. The staff was friendly and accommodating. When I wasn’t happy with our room they offered to move us and gave free breakfast coupons. I didn’t like that cleaning service knocked on the door at 9am, so I always had to leave do not disturb on the door. They also did not replace items in the room and we had to request toilet paper. The size of the bathroom sink was too small and the shower was open so water got everywhere. There are many different variations of rooms but I wasn’t happy with our layout. Generally a fun place to stay but not an elevated experience.

Unique stunning hotel in style Art Deco from 1939. Oceanfront . Only for adults . There is everything you need to rest and relax. White sand beach , long swimming pool, amazing garden,bars and restaurants. Pleasant music. Delicious food , cocktails, worthy collection of beverages. Life music is performed on weekends. Friendly and relaxing atmosphere at resort. Highly recommended

Excellent hotel on the beach. Staff was very helpful and polite. Perfect area in south beach close to everything but away from large party areas. Staff was warm, welcoming, attentive and accommodating. All areas were very well maintained. I booked this property for direct beach access and no kids, but ended up spending time around the heated pool as well, which was super pleasant. Room service was super fast and I slept very well.

This is the best place to stay on south beach. I stay here every time I am in town from NYC. I am never disappointed. Staff is incredible, friendly, and accommodating. Pool bar is fantastic. Yulia and Juan are great bartenders and the burger is amazing. Beach is steps away and hotel provides chairs and towels. Can't say enough about how positive my experience is here.

I've been all over the world and this is one of my favorite hotels. The location is excellent on Collins Avenue with direct beach access and being near Lincoln Road Mall and Espanola Way restaurants. The esthetic and eclectic art are on point. Its a vibe. Staff is great, food is good and everything is clean. Will definitely stay again.

The hotel is very nice and on the ocean. Even though it is by no means a small property, it feels like a boutique hotel. I arrived in the morning well before the 4pm check in but they were able to get me into a room right away. I couldn’t have been happier with the room, location and the staff. I’d definitely stay here again.

The National Hotel exceeded our expectations with its prime beachfront location, convenience within walking distance to everything on south beach. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable – they even called in an additional staff member to check us in because there was a couple checking already in front of us. William and Malcolm provided exceptional service on the beach. The on-site restaurant was great, with Spanish food and reasonably priced. Definitely coming back and for more than 3 nights next time.
