We stayed here for four nights and were very happy with the location, just across from the beach. However, we did not know that the daily resort fee does not include umbrellas, which you have to rent for an additional cost. We would have done this every day, but on two days the staff said they were not renting out umbrellas, which cut our time on the beach short, because we prefer not to burn. This frustrated us and though we were told the manager would get in touch, she never did. I will say, the room was clean, though we got one in which the decor was quite garish. We did not eat at the restaurant, but we did have drinks there one day. Our server was very friendly and did not mind that we were not ordering food. All in all, it was a pleasant enough stay, and the aspects we did not like could easily be addressed by management. If you care mostly about location and proximity to restaurants, the beach, and entertainment, The Pelican does the trick. I think we, however, would choose a different hotel next time.

Loved the location across from the ocean and valet service was exceptional. Easy in and out. Food looked and smelled wonderful every time we walked through the lobby. Rooms were clean and the themes added a touch of fun. We will definitely stay here when headed to Miami Beach.

We didnt realize our stay was in the height of spring break and curfews...staff was amazing, made us feel safe and went out of their way to accommodate us. We stayed in the space room, itnwas AMAZING!!!

I would rate my stay at the hotel a solid three out of five. Initially, I was inclined to give it a four, but the customer service left much to be desired. For instance, when I inquired about the nearest beach access, a front desk attendant directed me to a location that turned out to be the most distant one. Additionally, the same attendant advised me that guests must wear a plastic wristband as a security measure. Without this band, entry is denied after the restaurant hours, which I found silly. I would not walk around or dine at a fine restaurant with a plastic wristband. Lastly, the food was mediocre at best, but it was priced at several notches above. Aside from that, the hotel was clean, conveniently located, and well-maintained.

I should have done my homework regarding no gym, pool, microwave, convenient parking, and other amenities. Anyone interested in the property also should be aware that it is a small and older building, the elevator repeatedly fails, valet parking can take up to 30 min to get your car, it is noisy as HELL outside the property, and management services are disorganized.

The property is in a great location across from muscle beach. The rooms have all the basics, nothing fancy. The bed and pillows are very hard. The wifi and tv is nice to have. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The lobby smells very strong of cologne or some cleaning product.

Feeling Like A Bait & Switch
I booked a 700 square foot King Executive suite with a pullout and and was provided with a 200 sq foot Queen room. Staff recognized the error at check in but sent us up to the room without mentioning it despite booking not matching their available room. Upon being confronted with the issue Hotel staff apologized and suggested that they could find a cot to help accommodate our family of 4. The room was too small to fit a cot even if I had wanted it. Staff was pleasant enough but blamed Hotels.com entirely for the error and offered no support in finding another alternative. It was a beautiful hotel and I'd have been thrilled to stay in the room that I booked and paid for. At this point they have not yet refunded me for the room that I did NOT even stay in. Would suggest be VERY careful about an Expedia booking at this property.

The King Executive room was not showing as available in our system and we are investigating as to why it never populated correctly. We gladly provided an alternative room, but completely understand that this new room was not the proper room type, nor the square footage of your original choice. We have informed Expedia to provide you with a the proper full refund.

The elevator makes a very loud bing-di-bing noise every time the door opens. I can be heard in every room, and as it's Miami Beach, that can go on all night. We have chosen not to stay as the only room they had was next to that elevator, and were told that we wouldn't be charged. They have charged us anyway for the full reservation of several days and have not refunded us despite their repeated assurance to do so. They are not even responding to our emails. Very unprofessional and immature management, I would stay away from this place.

Great Boutique Hotel in Great Location
I was thrilled by what a beautiful room this was and in a great location. We only stayed one night after a cruise, but I wish we'd had more time in this great hotel. Everything was clean, quiet, and front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great little boutique hotel! Close to the beach, plenty of dining options in the hotel itself and surrounding hotels. It always seemed to be Happy Hour”! The rooms are clean and well appointed, art deco themed rooms give this hotel a unique flare that lends to Miami’s overall vibrance. AC and hot water no issues. The only thing I had trouble with was the bed, mattress was extra firm and you may have to specifically ask for a room with a softer mattress.
