requests were addressed quickly : - the in room steamers are not really well suited to mens business clothing, so front desk arranged iton/ironing board - fridge was not working, so engineering replaced it - ice was delivered but an ice machine for each floor would be easier

A great location in Coconut Grove with easy access to shopping and restaurants. We did not like the room. While spacious and well appointed, due to the design of the hotel, the rooms are extremely dark, even in the middle of the day. And there is not adequate lighting to make up for the lack of natural light. For this reason alone, I would not stay at the hotel again. The manager of the hotel was very friendly and helpful, but the rest of the staff seemed a bit out of it, or very new.

Staff were very helpful. We checked out at 11 but flight not until 8pm. They kept our bags while we did a college campus tour and then let us enjoy the roof deck pool until we left for our flight.

No WiFi in lobby which makes check-in challenging, especially when the hotel’s wireless credit card reader doesn’t function. Maid service finally showed up at 4pm. No “Clean my room / Do not disturb” sign was missing. Rooms are excessively dark with very confusing light switches. Party goers made lot noise in the middle of the night by pounding on doorways in the hallway with no response from management. If you want a spring break hotel with lots of partying and poor service, then this is your place!

Lovely hotel, wonderful service! It was a very clean facility & short walk to restaurants and shopping. The only thing I was not fond of was the dark hotel rooms. The rooms are painted a darker color orange with no overhead lights. It was great for sleeping but I didn't care for it during the daylight hours. Rooms were extremely clean and housekeeping did a great job! The pool area & bar was beautiful and hotel bar was great! Very friendly bar staff in both places.

The customer service is the best service I have ever had at a stay in Florida. Everyone was extremely helpful and inviting from the second we arrived. The room was amazing. The bed was comfortable. The food was excellent! I have no complaints about anything! If you have a chance to go do it. You won’t regret it.

The design of this hotel is beautiful - but they need to spend some time on the operation and service. Rooms not cleaned properly, not enough staff, chaotic check in process and tricky lifts.

My check in process was very strange - someone checked in with my reservation and my room was occupied by someone else. Had to wait a long time to get to the room as a result. The new room smelled moldy and was very dark. Additionally, the elevators are funky and do not go up or down from the roof frequently enough. Was stuff on the roof for a while.

The service was friendly and efficient. The room was like staying in a cave. With all the lights on it was still a cave. The outside terrace smelled like cat liter and even though they cleaned it, the smell stayed (maybe it is mold?). There was a wedding on Saturday night and the music went until 12:30, a pounding bass that prevented sleep. I would never recommend someone to stay there.

We had a pipe leaking from the bathroom that flooded the room in certain areas. Things happen we understand. The staff came right away and handled the issue and the manager was very compassionate and gave us a full refund on the room. So we will come back and stay here again at this beautiful hotel due to the fact of how Mayfair Hotel treated us during the stay. Thanks again to the staff and manager Robert. Kind souls all around. They care and it showed.

We were excited to stay in a five star hotel but unfortunately the service was three star. No doubt the property is beautiful and thats what you are paying for. There were a number of things we had to request, even toilet paper. It would take an hour or two to get anything and somethings like coffee were never received. Our streaming tv did not work and we reported it on the first day. Three days later it still did not work. Fortunately, the location is great and we enjoyed our trip to Coconut Grove

Beautiful property. I did wait a while for a room to be ready but had a drink in their courtyard while i waited. Was thrilled they have me an upgraded room to a corner suite. Huge space, well appointed, liked the soaking tub and the ability to swivel the tv between the tub and the bed. I would love to return, stay longer to enjoy more amenities, explore that area.

Coconut Grove is a nice neighborhood and there are two parks nearby with waterfront access. The hotel itself as a building is intriguing and has a nice pool on the roof. But we had multiple disappointing moments during our stay which greatly affected our experience. The biggest issue was probably sound, during our stay music was bleeding into our room from the common spaces which were rented out for weddings. Upon inquiring about the noise we were told that six weddings were booked this weekend and the music would stop at 9pm - which it didn’t. As a token we were given a $50 voucher by the hotel, not per person or per day, but in total. We were there with our two children hoping for a family friendly hotel - which it was/is, up to a certain degree if you think that a party hotel is family friendly. The Hotel charges a $25 destination fee per day and when asked what a destination fee is, we were told this is to cover the “complimentary” water, tea bags and coffee bags. Either the excuse for the destination fee is lame or the hotel is too cheap to really offer these complimentary items for free. Either way not good. Despite this, our tea, water and coffee wasn’t replenished during our stay and we had to repeatedly ask for it. Would we stay there again? Probably not.

Beautiful hotel. Recently remodeled and reopened in 2022. Lush tropical open-air atrium in the center. Rooms are quite beautiful. We had a couple of technical issues (the A/C in our first room couldn't be controlled so we were moved to a new room, and the next day the electricity went out to the entire block) but staff was excellent handling both. The Coconut Grove area the hotel is in is quite beautiful, easy to walk and has lots of shopping and dining options (our favorite was Jaguar, a short walk away).

The property was fabulously green everywhere! Each suite is beautifully designed and decorated. The property common areas were stunning. Front desk personnel were very helpful and friendly unfortunately the housekeeper was not at the same level, at our arrival were some stains on the hallway leading to the bathroom, mentioned to the front desk staff and the next day after our return the stains were there but towels and soap bar were gone. They did the beds but nothing else. Not even cleaning the tables or the bathroom. We stay for four days never saw any soap or towels being delivered, a very attentive staff member called the housekeeper and let them know the situation but they completely ignored their calls. I heard communicating what was going on but never bothered to drop or clean anything. Definitely will come back to this small but cozy and exuberant place.

Overall our 4-night stay was great. We had a terrible first night due to other guests partying in the room beneath us until 2:30am; the room next to us came home at 3am and partied until 4:30am. It was during that time that I discovered that the phone (and TV) didn't work so I couldn't call to report the atrocious behavior. When I went downstairs to talk to staff at 3am, none could be found. The next day they credited $25 in food but since we occupied 2 rooms, that seemed paltry. This hotel is in an excellent location! You can easily walk to all the wonderful restaurants, bars and cafes in Cocowalk and downtown CG. Also within easy walking to parks and the waterfront. The hotel itself is beautiful. It is an architectural gem. Its interior design is delightful. The rooms were well-appointed, spacious, and very clean. The plants in the atrium are gorgeous and really set the mood for being in South Florida. There is a pool on the top floor, along with a bar. The pool is definitely smaller than what the photos suggest. My 10 year old didn't like the pool area bc it has an adult vibe to it - close proximity to the bar, the music, and the small feel of the outdoor space. Pool hours are sunrise to sunset - would be nice to swim after exploring all day. Closing at 9 or 10pm would have been nice. There was no front desk for check-in/check-out, but they did have staff with ipads to help assist with that. But a 5-star hotel should have a small desk at least with someone there 24/7.
