The property needs to be renovated. The last renovation was 1995 and it's showing. The rooms decor is dated and the painted wood floors are peeling and there are areas that are rotten underneath the peeling paint. Half the time we had room service, there was something wrong with the food order. When we requested a couple of blankets, we were told they don't have any more blankets. Really. For a $$$$ hotel and no blankets!!! Finally, when we went to the pool, we were told we'd have to get on the waiting list for lounge chair although there were over a dozen empty chairs which remained empty for over 990 minutes. Should adopt a policy of opening up unused chairs after a certain amount of time like other high end hotels do (not that there was anything high end about the Delano other than the price!!!). Very disappointing experience, will never use them again. Just unfortunate the Ritz South Beach was still getting renovations and the Loews was booked up.
