The Alameda Central is 8 min walking you can take a walk in the afternoon and eat some Mexican food and a few meters from there is the beautiful Palace of Fine Arts. The subway station Hidalgo and Metrobus are a few blocks away. Uber is a safety and cheap alternative to take in the city.
