The property is dated and rooms look like they have not been changed since 1980. The location and beach are amazing I guess that’s why they feel they can get away with it. But for the price I’d stay up in the town for more elegant and beautiful options.

The SPOT to be in Taormina
This place is a so great. The location is on the beach and you get chairs and umbrella on the the beach daily, which is great because can get crowded on the beach. The beach chair guys Hamza, Simone, Mattia are excellent, always looking to help out for any needs. The drinks and food service on the beach is excellent. They work so hard to get food and drink to everyone. Really nice people. Lost my tshirt one day and (Francesco found it a saved it for me.) Breakfast in the morning was so great. Excellent selection, great coffee, fresh fruit, everything you could want. The staff there are super kind. Front Desk is top notch. The answer "no" is not in their vocabulary. The make sure to help in every way possible. Front desk are all great but special thanks to Pasquale who helped make our last day extremely comfortable. Good guy. The room cleaners are fantastic and come twice a day. Seemed like the room was redone every time I left it! It is very close to the cable car, about 5min walk( longer for old timers due to some stairs). I read some complaints about traffic noise and the train. Not sure, really inconsequential. Never noticed it and we stayed for 3 weeks. This place is great and the best place to stay in Taormina since you are essentially on the beach and when done with the beach, back to the room, shower up and head off to the cable car and on Corso Umberto in a jiffy!

We will definitely stay here the next time we come to Sicily. The staff was SO accommodating, and the property and surrounding areas are breathtaking. The restaurants on the property are top notch. Breakfast was SO amazing! I would give La Plage 6 stars if I could!!!

Beautiful medium-small resort directly in front of the beautiful Isola Bella. A gem of a location, and staff that could not do more to please. Only consideration is the sound proofing between rooms (probably not an issue for bungalows) - we could hear every word our next door neighbours said. If you want to find out what really happened on that Island at the end of 'White Lotus', Season 2, this is the place to do it!

The view & beach is stunning & whatever i ate was amazing but the rooms are smaller the they appear. I was under the impression that i booked a larger room and the woman at the hotel insisted I booked the wrong one as opposed to falsely advertising it. Limited amenities, no store in resort or nearby, delicious food but options are very limited and not great for picky kids.

Beautiful property - rooms are small but perfect for what you need them. The beach is steps away and the breakfast food was delicious!! My only real issue with the hotel was the crappy wifi; needed to be at the lobby to get some work done or else the wifi in the room is useless!

The hotel grounds are beautiful. However the bungalow we stayed in was so small my sister and I couldn’t even open our suitcases fully. I felt claustrophobic in the room and thankfully we were only there for one night. In my opinion since the bungalows are extremely small bigger windows or light would help. The front desk service is just OK, should be better for a hotel on that level. I asked for hypo allergenic pillows and out of the whole hotel they only had one. They also do not have anyone working at the entrance of the hotel and it can get a bit confusing when you check out and in. The beach is fabulous. Also the staff at the pool bar and restaurant were wonderful.

Overpriced, bur great beach location
We booked the bungalows by the beach, but found them dark and small, and packed together. Were put in a 'suite' which was one room with a bed and a shower ensuite. It had a good view of the beach if you went to the back of the little patio. Service was good, food good, cleanliness good, although changing bed linin and towels every day wasnt eco friendly. Location for the beach was excellent and only 5 mins walk to the cable car to taormina which goes every 15 mins til 1am. While it was good, considering it was the end of the season and having stayed in hundreds of hotels, it was very over priced. For the money i would have expected dinner to be included

Firstly it was teeny tiny rooms . You literally had a curtain as a closet door. There was a wedding going on every single evening next to our cottages . The music stopped when the wedding parties stopped. If they had wanted to be fair they should’ve told us before we paid for the outrageously priced cottages. It was such a nuisance and ruined our holiday

Most relaxing place to stay in Taormina
Their services were excellent, and the hotel location was best in the area, right at the beach of Isola Bella and 5 min walk to the cable car to Taormina.

We love the staff. They are the nicest people and willing to help in any way. The only issue we had was breakfast time there were many flies by the fruit area and the utensils we received were not cleaned very well. The glassware also seemed that there was some soap left in it when we poured water. Otherwise though, a wonderful place to visit.

This place was great, wife and I enjoyed our stay. Bring water shoes or other protection if you intend on going to the beach, it is stoney and will damage your feet.

The room was beautiful and we loved the terrace. The only problem with the room was that it was a little small. We had to take turns walking in front of the bed. The staff was outstanding and the view was spectacular. We were underwhelmed by the restaurant.

Incredible hotel. The service was excellent, 5 star service, very accommodating. Absolutely gorgeous scenery. If you're contemplating staying on the beach or in town - stay here! The bungalows with sea side views and jacuzzis are amazing! Restaurant was tasty as well. Highly recommend a stay at La Plage!

Wonderful beach hotel in Taormina
Fantastic hotel, well locacated and has a beach (stoney beach), room was lovely and very comfortable, the staff were really friendly and well informed. Only downsides, beach uncomfortable to walk on and almost impossible when you are in the sea, service a little slow at the main bar. I would go back though

Property is beautiful and well kept. Their customer service is outstanding. The rooms are clean and well-equipped. The only thing that caught us off guard was the afternoon cleaning service (yes, they come clean your room twice a day), but who doesn't want their rooms cleaned twice a day? :) The breakfast was delicious and the beach was beautiful. The food we ate at their restaurant was delightful and the drinks we bought at their beach bar were exquisite. Overall, a great experience which we definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Taormina.
