"Well located hotel with lovely sea giews acted roo"
hotel has been modernised and has an enviable location overlooking the sea and promenade.however we were allocated room 408 which was an old fashioned musty room with no privacy due to it being next to the breakfast area.Balcony had no privacy as it was only separated by a pain of glass Asked whether we could change room but reception were indifferent and rude saying there were no other rooms available for another week , however other reception staff were pleasant At first the air con did not work so that had to be fixed then the bed slats broke which also had to be repaired

We could not get the internet to work. You do have to walk up stairs to reception and more stairs to your room. The elevator does work but is extremely small. The elderly couple would not let us check in until 3:00 pm. and then took about 1,2 an hour to check us in. Otherwise the hotel was charming and comfortable.
We were nicely surprised to have a ground floor room after having to climb stairs in the previous town. tHe hotel is basic and comfortable and very central. parking available at the front of hotel which was a bonus.
It's a short walk to the beautiful Mediterranean Sea and a lovely waterfront to stroll along

This is a basic, but extremely good value, comfortable and brilliantly situated in the town centre, close to all amenities. We had a fabulous week in Menton and the accommodation was perfect for two people. Towels and sheets were provided and we got more pillows on request. we had a really good week's stay and would definitely go again and recommend it to others.

Reliable clean room, one of the most comfortable beds we experienced on our holiday (to begin with an actual queen size bed rather than two singles put together!), close to the train station (the stop before Menton if you come from Italy side). We stayed in the Hindi room, which was decked out in Indian styled theme (no surprise there).
The walk into the main 'buzz' was ok to start with (about 1.5k) but become a little bit of a drag on the 3rd or 4th trot down there.

We stayed only one night and it was excellent. The staff were charming, delightful , professional and so helpful. This was especially so of the receptionists, the barman and the lady who ran the breakfast kitchen . We had a twin bedded, 3rd floor room, facing the sea, which had been extensively renovated . The decor was delightful, and the bathroom was a real triumph of style and colour. The view naturally enough was superb and the balcony was enhanced by a variety of succulent plants , just adding the finishing touch The breakfast was the best continental breakfast I have had with fresh orange drink you squeezed yourself , fresh warm croissants and cheese and hams. Finally the barman made the best gin and tonic I have ever had. He took a real pride in his work and it showed.

A genteel Riviera resort next to the Italian border, Menton is famed for its balmy winter climate and exotic gardens. The old town rises steeply from the shore against a scenic mountain backdrop. Museums include the Musée Jean Cocteau, housed in a 17th-century fort by the port, which displays mosaics, ceramics, tapestries, drawings and other works by the artist. Menton’s Shrovetide lemon festival inspires some spectacular floats.
