The Cove Suite is located directly across the Bay from the quaint village of Mendocino. Just a short mile south of Mendocino this outstanding private location is set on the oceanfront bluffs of Chapman Point, a natural curve of land that reaches out into the Pacific and a twin to the Mendocino Headlands. The Mendocino Bay setting has dramatic views of the ocean and a direct view of the Mendocino Village across the Bay. Jan 18, 2017 Seriously, THE BEST Date of Stay Jan 1, 2017 Helpful votes: 0/0 Oh, my....this place is like a dream come true !!! The most obviously wonderful thing about it is the location. This is not, simply "water front" or "water views". This is a studio that is HANGING OUT over the ocean. No need to open the sliding doors to the deck to hear the ocean...you will hear it regardless ! I swear this is the best view I've ever had, and I have stayed in some pretty fabulous places. The studio was perfect for me and my dog. I am not sure what it is (although I'm going to ask) but this was the most comfortable bed EVER ! There is a wood stove for ambience and a little extra warmth (although the regular heat was more than adequate) and the hosts provided WOOD ! I have stayed in places with wood stoves before but I have NEVER had wood provided ! Also, I was here the first two weeks of January and there were a lot of rainstorms, the little town of Mendocino lost power several times but Dan and Laura, (my hosts), have a generator, something that made me feel pretty smug as I looked out across the bay to see Mendocino in the dark. Dan and Laura are EXCEPTIONAL as hosts and as people. I had lovely conversations with them and during the storms, Dan checked in with me to make sure the generator was coming on as it was supposed to. They made sure I had everything I needed and since I was there two weeks, they even had the place "spruced up", arranging for the cleaners to come by with fresh towels and sheets..chocolates on the pillows...it really is in the details ! This place and it's hosts are really the best I've experienced. If you are traveling in the Mendocino area, don't miss this one. REALLY. DON'T MISS IT !!!!!! Thank you, Dan and Laura ! We also have Comcast high Speed internet and full HD Direct TV. We list this as many vacation rentals in this area do not have any connectivity for phones or internet. The views are breathtaking and it was nice sitting on the patio enjoying a glass of wine and listening to the ocean waves. The location is perfect, it is close to Mendocino, fort Bragg and the Anderson Valley for wine tasting.. if you havent stayed at the Cove, we highly recommend it. ##### Alice C. The unit it very clean and the location and views are unbelievable. Two rentals on property but completely separate with total privacy. Enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the waves. A perfect weekend for our 39th anniversary! It was hard to leave, since this location is so private and mesmerizing. Only a 5 minute drive from the town and all the hiking trails close by.
