Appartement avec charme bien placé
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour, l'appartement est bien agencé et dans une jolie maison ancienne. La terrasse est très appréciable.

Très agréable séjour à Menaggio
Fabio est un propriétaire charmant qui a su être patient malgré nos trois heures de retard à l'arrivée. Prévenant sans être envahissant, il a su nous donner de très bons conseils pour organiser notre séjour. La maison est chaleureuse et bien placée avec une précieuse place de parking ce qui permet de faire beaucoup de visites via bus et bateaux (attention cependant aux rues très étroites pour la voiture). Située dans un quartier tranquille sur les hauteurs avec une vue partielle sur le lac, elle permet d'accéder au centre ville en quelques minutes à pieds (même si ça grimpe ou descend assez dur). Elle a du caractère (pierres) sans être très grande mais elle est bien équipée (machine à laver, LV,...) avec une jolie terrasse, intelligemment organisée et largement suffisante pour quatre ou cinq personnes (notre cas). Une petite remarque sur la climatisation qui équipe la pièce principale et la grande chambre mais malheureusement pas la petite or celle-ci est prévue pour trois personnes et il y fait rapidement chaud. Nous avons pu visiter bien sûr Menaggio à pied mais aussi Côme, Bellaggio et Varena (que nous recommandons) en bus et bateaux . En vingt minutes en voiture nous avons rejoins le parking de Breglia permettant d'accéder après une heure de marche au refuge à 1400 m avec une superbe vue sur le lac. Nous avons également pu aller à Milan mais c'est déjà beaucoup plus long. Bref, un très beau séjour que nous recommandons sans réserve.

Une belle place pour découvrir le lac de Côme
Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Fabio, qui parle également Français, et nous a bien conseillés. La maison est spacieuse, bien équipée avec linge de maison fournis, et très agréable. L'emplacement est idéal, dans le coeur historique, proche de l'embarcadère donnant accès aux autres villes touristiques du lac. Une plage est accessible à pied pour se baigner dans le lac. Une belle semaine pour nous 4 !

Un séjour délicieux !
Qui mieux que Fabio pour nous accueillir chaleureusement et nous donner multiples conseils de sorties ? Il est à lui seul un véritable office de tourisme et dès notre arrivée nous donne envie de découvrir les beautés de la région. Alors munissez vous d'une feuille et d'un stylo pour noter tout ce qu'il dit ! L'appartement est agréable et fonctionnel. Il ne manque rien. Pour un couple et deux enfants, c'est parfait. Attention pour les parents avec des enfants en bas âge : le chemin qui mène de l'appartement au village est en galets ; il est chaotique et laborieux pour les poussettes. Il faut être plutôt en bonne condition physique car la montée n'est pas forcément évidente pour tout le monde et si on a oublié le pain, tant pis ! Un seul petit bémol : le linge de maison n'est pas de première jeunesse et les serviettes sont beaucoup trop usagées... Je regrette juste de ne pas avoir pris mon linge personnel. Nous avons laissé la voiture au parking très souvent et avons pris le bus (C10) pour aller à Côme par exemple (retour en ferry), ou pour aller visiter la Villa Carlotta. Plutôt très pratique en haute saison car les places de parking sont rares ! Nous avons adoré passé une journée à Chiavenna et découvrir les magnifiques "cascate dell Acquafraggia". Un très beau souvenir grâce aux conseils de Fabio !

Lovely! We enjoyed our stay soooo much!
The apartment is very nice and cozy and we felt very comfortable. Fabio, the landlord, was extraordinarily helpful and very nice and was able to give lots of good tips on various activities in the region. His support was flawless and the communication was extremely clear and most uncomplicated, which we really appreciated. Furnishings and equipment were not exactly luxurious, but we had everything we needed. The small balcony with a view on the lake and the village (classic, tiny balcony for a maximum of two slim people ;), but perfect for breakfast coffee) and the larger terrace are a real asset. Next time we're at Lago di Como, we'll definitely try to rent this cosy, beautifully situated cottage again. Again so many thanks to Fabio!!!

Eine besondere Unterkunft
Mitten im ältesten Teil von Como. Die Ferienwohnung ist wirklich zauberhaft. Es sind zu Fuss nur ca. 10 min zum See, zur Budhaltestelle, zum Bäcker und zum Supermarkt und ca. 15 min zum öffentlichen Kiesstrand. Der Weg zurück geht dann ganz schön bergauf. Trotzdem haben wir das Auto nicht gebraucht und es stand die meiste Zeit auf dem Parkplatz. Der Vermieter stand jederzeit für Fragen zur Verfügung und konnte uns gute Tips geben.

Schöne Stadtwohnung in schönem Ort Menaggio
Die Unterkunft war gut in den Ort integriert, zwei Etagen boten eine komfortable Größe. Der Balkon hätte ein wenig größer sein können. Eher für eine als für zwei Personen gedacht. Der Gastwirt war sehr hilfsbereit und gab uns Empfehlungen zu Wanderungen und Restaurants. Der Blick auf See und Berge und die gegenüberliegenden Häuserwand war pittoresk! Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Außergewöhnliche Ferienwohnung
Wir haben den Aufenthalt im House on the bridge sehr genossen. Der Ausblick ist wunderschön. Der kurze aber steile Weg zur Wohnung ist gewöhnungsbedürftig aber machbar. Fabio ist ein exzellenter und sehr hilfsbereiten Gastgeber. Der immer gute Tipps auf Lager hat. Vielen Dank nochmal.

Authentic house in beautiful village close to the lake

Gemütlich und einzigartig
Für uns (2 Erwachsene, eine Achtjährige) war das Ferienhaus perfekt! Uns gefiel die Lage, die Aufteilung der Räume auf 2 Etagen, der See- und Bergblick und die freundlichen, hilfreichen Tipps von Vermieter Fabio. Der steile, aber schöne kleine Spaziergang zur hübschen Stadtmitte ergänzte sich super mit der Möglichkeit, direkt ab der Haustür Wandertouren starten zu können. Dank gut nutzbarer Küche machte aber auch zu Hause bleiben Spaß. Es ist ein Ferienhaus, in das wir sehr gerne zurückkehren möchten.

Es war ein superschönen Urlaub
Unser dreiwöchiger Urlaub in Menaggio war für die ganze Familie toll! Der nahegelegene kleine Strand war nicht der schönste, aber prima zum schnellen Eintauchen und Schwimmen. Die Wanderwege rundum den Ort begannen quasi ‚vor der Haustür‘. Der kleine Ort war auf Tourismus eingestellt, aber es gab auch noch normales Alltagsleben. Unsere Ferienwohnung war gemütlich eingerichtet , die originelle Lage über dem alten Burgtor und der nette kleine Balkon mit Seeblick haben uns jeden Tag gefreut. Fabio hat uns mit vielen Infos versorgt und war stets ansprechbar! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Ferien in einem Zuhause!
Eine urige, blitzblanke und komplett ausgestattete Ferienwohnung erwartet uns in einer tollen Lage. Im Gegensatz zu vielen spartanisch und funktional eingerichteten Wohnungen haben wir hier ein richtiges Zuhause gefunden. Abends konnten wir am Kaminfeuer ein Glas Rotwein genießen und den Blick auf die Altstadt auskosten. Fabio war stets für alle Fragen offen und äußerst hilfsbereit. Wir kommen gern wieder und empfehlen diese Unterkunft!

Eine Schöne Reise und ein großes Abenteuer
Wir waren vom 27.06. bis zum 06.07.2020 in dem wunderschönen Ferien-Appartement „Little Bridge House“ von Fabio in Menaggio. (1 Erwachsener + 3 Teenager) Die Lage in dem alten Castello von Menaggio ist sehr romantisch und etwas ganz besonderes. Das Appartement hat 2 Stockwerke, unten ist der großzügige Wohn- und Ess- Bereich sowie die Küche, und der schöne Romeo und Julia Balkon. Von dort hat meinen sehr schönen Blick auf den Comer See , die Berge und die alten Gassen. Da saß ich manchen Abend mit einem Glas Vino und einem Buch, herrlich! Oben sind 2 Schlafzimmer und das Badezimmer. Ausgestattet war das Appartement mit allem was wir brauchten, sogar Waschmaschine und Spülmaschine. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, Fabio hat uns ganz großartige Tipps gegeben für Wanderungen und Ausflüge. Z.B. zum Refugio Menaggio oder in das Sanagra Tal. Auch wenn wir über Fahrpläne und Wege Fragen hatten konnte er uns weiter helfen. Wir durften sogar seinen Garten und Pool mit benutzen. Als wir dann am letzten Tag eine Autopanne hatten, hat er uns auch sehr geholfen, eine Autowerkstatt empfohlen, die Abwicklung und Heimreise mit organisiert. Er stand uns zur Seite und war ein Engel! Daher freuen wir uns wenn wir bald wieder kommen und in dieser schönen Region Ferien machen dürfen! Vielen Dank für Alles!

Sympatisches Domizil mit Carisma
Wir (mein Hund Emma und ich) haben den Aufenthalt vom 25.10. - 03.11.2019 in diesem kleinen `Brückenhaus` sehr genossen ! Sylvia und Fabio waren wundervolle Gastgeber und immer sofort zur Stelle , wenn man Ihre Hile in Anspruch nehmen wollte ! Vom ersten Moment an habe ich mich sehr wohl gefühlt ! Umgeben von überwiegend italienischen Nachbarn fühlt man sich doch sehr schnell im Dorf integriert ! Alles was man zum Leben braucht (Panificio/Superelegtmercato/Restaurants) ist fussläufig erreichbar ! Der tägliche Weg zum See oder auf die Piazza ist sehr angenehm (wenn auch bergab bzw. bergauf) und wurde von mir auch mehrmals am Tag mit Freude zurückggelegt. Den Platz auf dem kleinen Balkon mit Seeblick habe ich auch zu schätzen gelernt und den Tag mit einem Gläschen ausklingen lassen. Fazit - für mein Vorhaben , mir eine kleine Auszeit zu nehmen war diese Unterkunft und auch die Menschen die ich hier kennenleren durfte perfekt ! Wäre noch anzumerken , daß man auch mit 4 Personen ausreichend Platz hat . Ich (wir) komme(n) gerne wieder !!! RALF und EMMA

Schöne Tage in Menaggio
Wir, 2 Erwachsene / 3 Kinder, haben im August 2019 eine wunderschöne Woche am Comer See verbracht. Die Unterkunft war sauber und es war alles vorhanden, was man zum Wohnen und Kochen braucht. Die Einrichtung ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, das hat uns aber nicht gestört. Der Marktplatz mit seinen Restaurants und Geschäften, sowie auch der Hafen, sind fussläufig gut zu erreichen. Fabio ist ein sehr freundlicher Gastgeber mit vielen tollen Tipps für Ausflüge. Vielen Dank Fabio auch für die kurzweiligen und interessanten Gespräche!

Die Wohnung liegt nicht in einem Touristenzentrum, sondern mitten in der Altstadt. Das ist sehr schön. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett, alles ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Wir waren gern dort.

Beautiful situation, friendly welcome
We had a fantastic time. It's a lovely little house, well equipped and clean, in a stunning location with beautiful views. The owner, Fabio, was wonderfully welcoming and informative, in a slightly chaotic but extremely helpful way. It was, by our standards, very hot (high 30s when we arrived) but there are fans, thick walls, and a good through breeze, so we coped well. We hired a car, but we wouldn't bother again: there are good public transport links, and a great deal is accessible by foot.

Sehr schönes, gemütliches Ferienhaus in imposanter Lage
Gut ausgestattetes Ferienhaus in zentraler Lage etwas oberhalb des Menaggio-Zentrums, fußläufig ist alles im Ort gut zu erreichen. Gute Aufteilung der Räume über zwei Etagen. Auch bei hohen Temperaturen ist es drinnen gut auszuhalten. Wir waren rundum sehr zufrieden mit unserer Wahl und kommen gerne wieder zurück.

A great place with character and a great view to stay for a short time or long time!
The Little Bridge House apartment is in a fantastic location in the beautiful and historic cobble-stoned neighborhood called The Costello which is perched up on a hill overlooking the town but just a few minutes walk from the main town center. Here you are in a quiet neighborhood with a nice view of the lake. I had a very pleasant one month stay at the apartment which is in a fully renovated 16th century building which means it has the comforts of modern living with a lot of character. The photos are all very accurate and give a good overview of the apartment. Almost all the tourists passing by always take pictures of the apartment in order to capture the medieval charm of the area. Fabio, the owner is a great host and was always available for all my needs. Menaggio is my favorite small town on the lake with a great collection of stores and restaurants and two supermarkets. There is easy access to Varenna and Bellagio by ferry boat. It is just as easy to get around to other areas of the lake by the numerous ferry boat or buses (if you prefer not to have a car). And there is easy access to trains in Varenna. Many hiking trails either begin in Menaggio or are easily accessible from the town---the friendly Tourist Info office in the main square has lots of information for hiking and water sports in the area. And, Lugano Switzerland and Lake Lugano are a 30 minute drive or bus ride away.

Lovely house in a great location
We loved our stay in the little bridge house. It's in a quiet historic part of Menaggio and is very comfortable. Fabio was very kind and helpful, with suggestions of local day trips and helping us solve a small problem in the house. Menaggio is a great base and well connected with boats and buses.

Super Cute Apartment With Lake View
We stayed here as a family of five and fit very well - the one bedroom has two single beds and a loft bed and the second has a queen. The ceilings are low (we're very tall), but there are lovely sky lights letting in the sun. The bathroom has a tub, which was nice. The kitchen was well-equipped and the living area had a lot of good information on the area, including English guide books. The location is very nice - a walk up the steep streets from the center of town takes only 5 minutes. My mother (age 70) took a while to get up there, but the rest of us (including little kids) were fine. It's good to walk off all the wine and pasta anyway! I loved the little balcony as well. The only thing I missed was a drying line outside - the one in the bathroom takes a while to dry the clothes. Our host was absolutely lovely about everything and promptly responded to all questions. Menaggio is a good place to start from if you are exploring this area.
