Die Unterkunft ist sehr „ab vom Schuss“, was mit einer sehr ruhigen und grünen Lage einhergeht. Mit dem Auto ist sie gut zu erreichen und bietet großzügige Parkmöglichkeiten. Der Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und hat uns auch während einer medizinischen Notsituation jederzeit geholfen, Taxis organisiert und auch außerhalb der Essenszeiten noch etwas zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Betten waren für uns zwar sehr unbequem, jedoch wurde sofort als wir das gemeldet haben Abhilfe geschaffen.

Överraskande fint boende i slottsmiljö. Lokalt bryggeri på gården och väl tilltagen frukostbuffé. Restaurangen kunde jobba upp sig lite då en torr sweinhaxe serverades som inte gjorde livet roligare.

Sehr gerne wieder!

Wir wollten schon lange im Wasserschloss Mellenthin übernachten, da es uns dort sehr gut gefällt. Als wir Anfang des Jahres dort waren, hatte alles noch einen gemütlichen Weihnachtsflair und die Beleuchtung abends war sehr schön. Der Ritterabend (jeden Dienstag) hat das ganze abgerundet. Der Service ist wunderbar freundlich und das Zimmer unglaublich sauber. Durch einschlägige Serien im TV waren wir etwas empfindlicher als früher, haben aber nichts gefunden, was Grund zum Anstoß gab. Nächstes Mal möchte ich zwei oder mehr Tage dort verbringen, da man richtig entspannen kann. Das WLAN ist natürlich ausbaufähig, aber das liegt am Ortsnetz. :-)

Ehemaliges Wasserschloss zum Hotel umgebaut

Wir waren schon zum 2. Mal in diesem Hotel und es gefällt uns nach wie vor sehr gut. Mit viel Mühe und sicherlich sehr hohen Kosten wurde das alte Gemäuer zum Hotel umgebaut. Als Besonderheit wird hier in einer kleinen Brauerei das eigene Bier hergestellt. Die Räumlichkeiten sind rustikal und mit großem Aufwand hergerichtet. Der Frühstücksraum ist mit langen rustikalen Tischen ausgestattet. Es herrscht eine sehr gute Atmosphäre in den alten Räumlichkeiten und es ist alles aufeinander abgestimmt.

Es lohnt sich ...

Wir hatten ein relativ einfaches Zimmer mit schönem Ausblick in den Schlosspark. Das Abendessen in der Halbpension war ok, das Frühstück war sensationell gut!!

Schöne ruhige Lage! Abends meistens Programm!

Haben eigentlich nur die Nächte dort verbracht da wir viel unternommen haben! Aber das was wir so mitbekommen haben war alles zufriedenstellend! Einziges Manko ist die sehr schlechte Internetanbindung was vermutlich an der Ländlichen Lage liegt WLAN so gut wie unbrauchbar!

1500-talsslott med vallgrav samt eget bryggeri

Vi tillbringade en natt på Wasserschloss Melanthin och den gav verkligen mersmak! Att få bo i ett rent och trivsamt rum beläget i en gavelbyggnad till ett 1500-talsslott med vallgrav är bara det positivt. Därtill var servicen tillmötesgående, det gavs en piratbuffé med tanke på barnfamiljer i en annan gavelbyggnad samt vanlig á la carte-restaurang i själva slottet. Som grädde på moset hade man egen tillverkning av öl och sekt på slottet. Självfallet kunde man låta sig väl smaka av detta i restaurangen samt köpa med sig hem i slottets välsorterade souveniraffär.

Die Zimmer sind qualitativ wirklich gute Hotelzimmer. Der Gedanke eines Wasserschlosses wird jedoch leider hierin nicht widergespiegelt. Enttäuschend war die Erreichbarkeit & Übertragungsrate vom WLAN - dringend verbesserungsbedürftig!

Marvellous

This hotel was surely something else! We arrived late in the evening. The castle was all lit up. It looked just like in a fairytale. We got a very nice room and we had a late dinner in a fantastic restaurant in the castle. The only disappointment was that we had to leave early the next morning. We could have stayed here for several days. The breakfast was served in the brewery which had a mixed style of old and modern. Very nice!

Tranquility and debauchery

This medieval castle is owned and operated by a private family who do a marvelous job of getting every thing just right. I was quiet overwhelmed by the ambience which is why I added 2 more nights on to the original booking of 4 nights. Also they brew their own beer which I found very good. The restaurant facilities are quit extensive and provide excellent food and service which is why they have many visitors from around the island for lunch and dinner. At afternoon coffee time the home made cakes and waffles are hugely popular. Most evenings they have theme nights with buffet dinner and live entertainment which are very popular with families. After dinner many people enjoy the tranquility of the establishment by taking a walk right around the outside of the mote which surrounds the castle. The rooms are a bit small but comfortable with a roomy and well equipped bathroom, but who wants to spend more time than nessecary in a place like this. My room was facing the court yard which was well patronized till late at night and I had to shut the windows to keep out the noise of people having a good time. The castle is reasonably central to visit nearby beaches and various sight seeing places and it's always a delight to come back to this magnificent place. Breakfast is also something to look forward to, with many items changing every morning. I'm a huge fan of smoked salmon and that was there every morning. Its a beautiful place and I wish I could spend some time here again.

Lagom nära svärmor

Vi har bott på Wasserschloss Mellenthin förut och det var med glädje vi återvände till detta synnerligen trevliga hotell! Hotellrummet är kanhända inte så stort, men trevligt inrett med mörkt trä och sköna sängar. Personalen är vänlig & tillmötesgående, om än på tyskt maner ganska opersonliga. Vi åt inte middag den här gången, men frukostbuffén är god och har gott urval. Sedan förra gången visste vi att hotellet ligger lite "off" och kan vara svårt att lokalisera om man inte vet vad man letar efter, men å andra sidan är det något vi finner tilltalande. Mina enda anmärkningar är att vi blev överraskade av byggarbetare som plötsligt stod på en byggställning utanför vårt hotellrumsfönster vid halv niotiden på morgonen - och att det bara var ena sängen som hade fungerande möjlighet att höja huvudänden. Det här var vårt andra, men garanterat inte vårt sista besök!
