Enjoy the beauty, adventure, and relaxation that this home has to offer. Located on Eureka Lake, you have access to a private dock for fishing or sitting on and enjoying the sunrise and set. The boat landing is just off of the drive way. There is a kayak, paddle board and paddle boat for your enjoyment. For the snowmobile and ATV enthusiasts, there is a plethora of trails near the Mellen area. ATV Route as soon as you leave the driveway. Minutes away from Copper Falls State Park where you can hike, bike, snowshoe, or cross country ski. 20 to 30 minutes away from Michigan who hosts 4 downhill ski resorts: Whitecap Mountain Ski Resort, Big Powderhorn Mountain, Blackjack Ski Resort, and Indianhead Ski Resort. 30 minutes away from Ashland where you can enjoy all that Lake Superior has to offer. If you love to explore waterfalls, there are plenty in the area. For the cooler days and nights, sit inside and enjoy a wood stove fire and watch the dancing flames through the glass door while letting the warmth of the fire warm your soul. Wood is provided for the wood stove only- NOT TO BE USED FOR OUTSIDE FIRES AT &T and Verizon cell service. Spotty in some areas. Charcoal grill provided. Very peaceful, we had the luxury of having some Loons patrol the lake as well as two pairs of Swans. The fishing was fantastic for children. Mellen and the surrounding area are very beautiful. We went to Dusty’s Saloon when thirsty, had supper at Elkhorn Lodge in Clam Lake. Visited Corrigans lookout in Upson, hiked Cooper Falls but spent most of our time on the lake at the cabin. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit the north woods. ##### Chris C. The kitchen was perfect for meals and having the laundry room available helped us keep our clothes clean and dry. We all enjoyed paddling across the serene lake and sitting around the campfire at night with smores. We loved watching the deer come through, seen many turtles crossing the yard, and listening to the frogs on the lake at night was amazing. The location is perfect and close to the Copper Falls park for hiking and not far from many other locations that we visited like Superior Falls, Ashland, Bayfield, Red Cliff, and Meyers beach for kayaking on Lake Superior. A beautiful place to stay & will definitely be coming back ! ##### Julie K.
