Booked king suites for our family - 3 generations - elderly, middle age and teens. It met everybody’s needs. It was central for the grandparents and parents and the pool and gym satisfied the teens. The kitchenette was handy for those who didn’t want to go out for breakfast. We would gather in a suite for early morning coffee. The staff were all lovely, a Stamford manager from Singapore gave us a tour of the pool and gym areas. The rooms were clean, and cleaned thoroughly each day. Fantastic location in every way. Close to gardens and shops and transport. Yes the bathroom is dated but it’s marble! The rooms do need walk in showers - the shower over bath is too risky for those with mobility issues. The pool was large enough for the teens, and spa piping hot - wonderful after a hard day of sightseeing! The only let down was maintenance issues - the tv was iffy, the microwave didn’t work, in gym area one of the bathrooms didn’t have lock so couldn’t use any of the facilities in that room, and the other bathroom the shower tap was missing (but I had heard somebody using that shower the day before so maybe it fell off since). Will definitely come back to this hotel.

Great location. Front desk staff were really lovely and super helpful. Just a couple of things that werent great. The room next door to us had left a food tray outside their door which was there until just before we checked out the next day. Even though we called reception about it at around 6pm the first day to let them know about it. Just felt a bit gross walking past food scraps for most of our stay. Also, i think we were supposed to get bathrobes? We booked the place because our kids were excited for a pool. Everyone else we met at the pool had bathrobes and it would have made moving between pool and rooms a lot easier if we had some. Also a bit of mould in the bathroom.

I stayed room with a Jet bath, however the bathtub was not clean enough. Also, the bath plug is broken and difficult to pull out. The operating instructions for the air-conditioner were not clear enough and I didn't know how to raise the temperature. Therefore, I called the receptionist, but after more than 30 minutes, they did not come until I called again. The smoke alarm went off at 10.30pm and I had to evacuate to the lobby in my pyjamas. I lost one of my earrings because I packed so quickly. Not one word of apology from the staff when I checked out the next morning. I will not stay there again. The staff disturbed me twice while the do not disturb sign was activated and later claimed it was because they failed to lodge the extended check out. The restaurant next door (Paddy's Bar) has mice running around and I have video footage to prove it. The selection of items provided at the breakfast buffet was poor and the amenities dated. Would not recommend this establishment to anyone.
