Property is very run down. Bed wasnt made after first of two nights stay. Tv remote gone and no replacement found. Tv manual operation very poor. Only good thing was the shower. Wont stay again.

Convenient location and clean and comfortable but facilities are basic and maintenance required (broken window, no smoke alarm battery, sink plug not right size, landscaping and property untidy)

Repairs needed particularly in the bathroom where thongs had been taken off the wall but screws remain. Replace the tiles to give a better impression. Also one has to be a dwarf to be able to get under the shower!

Handy to the tram
This was the second time I stayed here. Reasonable price for what you get and handy to two tram lines. Only issue this time was people talking outside my room from first light. Apparently they were making a film in another room. Could not sleep in both mornings as planned.

Conveniently across the road to a bus stop that departs to the city every 20 or so minutes, facilities were lovely and the staff were delightful and offered to help with any inquiries right off the bat :)

For a short stay it's perfectly acceptable..Bed is comfortable, TV works and the shower is good..A bit old and tired looking and the outside light was shining through the window all night but for convenience of location for a short stay, I would definitely stay there again.

Dirty, run-down place. Dust everywhere. Things are falling off. We had 5 hours of sleep, woke up at 6 am and left. The pool was disgusting. I don't understand how promoting such a dirty pool is even legal. No one can swim in the pool. It is not safe.

This hotel is not fresh and new but it is clean and located next to two tram lines. Also well located centrally in the inner eastern suburbs. Reasonable rates so good value.

The TV was old and the remote control didn't work properly, the heater was noisy, there was nowhere to leave the room kèy as we left at 8.15.am before the reception opened . So our stay was disappointing

There was limited access to Reception, hours were limited. No place to lodge key as I left before 8:30 and no phone contact available. There was no iron or ironing board in the room. Television picture did not work. Generally disappointing all round.

I found the Pathfinder to be quiet fine . Clean sheets, comfortable bed, newly refurbished..Bathroom was a tad on the tired side but was still fine. Good price, I'd stay again if I was in the area.

First impression on entering the room was the sense nothing had been updated for a few decades. The walls were in need of a fresh coat of paint, there was no toilet seat cover, the smoke alarm had the cover off and no batteries, wood trim had come off a counter, desperately short of power outlets, etc. However, the beds were comfortable, the sheets and towels clean, no bad small, the room we were in was quiet, and the staff were cheerful. You get what you pay for.

Location was very convenient with two tram lines on the doorstep. Local shopping centre had nice coffee shop, post office and Vietnamese restaurant which we found very handy. The windows and balcony needed a good clean but the room was fine and the staff very sweet. Bed linen a bit dated.

I was surprised at how the entire place is a 1970s time capsule! Clean and in good repair, but all the fittings and decoration have been well preserved since it was first built. It would make a good setting for a period film with little effort from the Art Department!

Helpful and friendly check-in. Permitted early check-in to attend a funeral and arranged that my room would the first one cleaned after previous occupier vacated. TV, microwave and fridge all new. Carpet appeared new and walls, etc. clearly recently painted. Close to public transport. On busy intersection with trams and buses but noise substantially lowere by apparent double glazing. Smallish room, typical of the building era, but value at 110/night inc. GST

It was the cheapest place we can find, and suited our needs perfectly. We just wanted somewhere to sleep that was close to the shopping. Add a free pool for the family entertainment, and we'll certainly come back in the future.
