Really great little city centre hotel located just behind a main street in walking distance of sights and the free tram service. Clean, with plenty power points and wi-fi. Staff could not have been more helpful, and let us leave bags, and use a room to change for a late departure. Husband left jeans in wardrobe and they have arranged to send on to us. Plenty restaurants in surrounding area, or across the river in the arts complex

Great Place
I love this hotel - I have been here a number of times and I really recommend it. The rooms are beautiful, the staff are friendly - you on a quiet street but in such a great location to all the places. 5 mins walk from flinders street. The key improvements that need to be made The fire alarm panel went off twice in a morning because 1) the kettle triggered the fire alarm, and secondly the switch to the bath from shower to shower did not work which generated a lot off steam. So after numerous calls to my room and the staff coming to see I still did not get any feedback on the issue or any satisfactory resolution bar from the change of kettle in the room I also think the cards to access the room do not work well I had spent several times getting a replacement card in my visit which I was unhappy about - staff say they are sensitive but I just think they are ineffective.

This is probably the best value for money hotel I’ve stayed in. The bed was comfortable enough, room quiet and clean. I really can’t fault it. Plus I got one of the best coffee’s of my life at Louis (next door).

Staff were a little frosty and not particularly friendly. Car parking for our 2.2m car was right next door but staff had no idea about this. They sent us to two other car parks which did not have the height clearance. Would stay again purely due to location and the great restaurants and cafes close by.

3rd and final stay
This was our 3rd time staying here and unfortunately was the worst of each trip. It feels tired, we only were given 1 towel each per traveller where 2 each would have probably saved staff servicing our room each day. The bed was largely uncomfortable, had a massive ridge in the middle. The middle elevator didn’t work for our level so made it tricky to get back to our room. We had a small voucher for the minibar, the qr code to scan for the mini bar menu didn’t work (link wasn’t to anything valid). We weren’t greeted with ‘thank you for staying with us’ on departure. It is all small things but they add up to our overall experience. Unfortunately will be the last time we stay here.

Close to malls, department stores, trams, theatres. Hotel is in a buzzing lane during day but at night its scarily empty of all food shops but you only have to walk (sprint?) for a few seconds in dark to get to hotel from either end of Equitable Lane. I liked my comfortable hotel room. Free hotel slippers. Staff were kind.

Didn’t have a safety mat in bath, no tea bags supplied on first two days, then only 2 each day afterwards. No light over mirror to put makeup on. No hair dryer supplied. Very central location. Beds and pillows could have been more comfortable, and perhaps a king single bed. Probably wouldn’t stay there again.

Check in was annoying - 2 rooms booked. One was under 17 year old daughters name. Was told needed to change booking with wotif - which was not easy on a Friday night. Told to stand away from reception desk and come back when changed. Explained wasn’t possible so staff ended up changing to joined rooms which was appreciated.

Im a Platinum member and this property is advertised as having ‘member’ preference. They did not. I won’t get into the dets but if you are booking because you expect a better treatment, that will not happen. The cleaning staff are the best though and the workers in general. The management just needs to change. They do not understand that it’s easier to keep a customer than get a new one. Besides that, room was ok, location was great and facilities are good, but need some remodeling.

The room upgrade however depends on the availability and unfortunately we were sold out of the higher room categories on this particular day. As this was the case we provided you with a room from the same category but which was slightly larger keeping inline with the benefits associated with a platinum member. I tried calling you a few days back to personally speak with you but failed to reach you on your mobile. Perfect Location
Great Location to all of Melbourne CBD either by foot or Tram. Great laneway for coffee and food during the week, most are closed over the weekend. Unexpected surprise.
