It is not pet friendly as advertised. However, Brett was happy to allow our pup to stay for 2 nights and our other friends and pup to stay the last night to welcome 2023\. Privacy is next to nil. You are housed between two unpleasantly close family homes. We were very appalled by the older mature woman who banged our door down after 1.30am NEW YEARS DAY to tell us we are SPEAKING too loudly inside the house. She proceeded to tell us its time to “pack it in”, to make sure we clean everything up and questioned us about our dogs and entire arrangements. This was all declared in a very rude and obnoxious way. My wife had already made these arrangements!! She also made it very clear that she was the property owner. Just out of order behaviour towards paying customers. We were made to feel incompetent and unwelcome by her. For the small amount of time we did spend at the property, as we were out and about all day, watching the roos hop along the fields for a good minute was lovely. Yet only a short commute to the Yarra Valley and Healesville, eastern suburbs of Melbourne and if wanting Melbourne City a short connect to East Link. We loved it. The cottage was beautifully appointed and had everything to make the stay comfortable. Being Dog friendly was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble.
