I've included most of my favourite places and more in my extensive "Local Recommendations Guidebook" on this listings page, so please feel free to check em' out for awesome things to do and eat in Melbourne city. Getting Around: Myki is the card you will need for all public transport. When using a Myki card, please remember to always have sufficient value for your journey as hefty on the spot fines apply if you travel without correct fare or do not "tap on." Trips are about $3.80 for a 2-hour journey, but it all depends on what zones you travel in, if you are a concession card holder and if you buy a day pass. Myki cards can be topped up at any 7-11 Stores (7-Eleven South Yarra Stn, 167 Toorak Rd, South Yarra VIC 3141, Australia) or at many other shops that display the MYKI logo. MYKI machines are located at major tram stops, train stations and at convenience stores and news agents. Please be aware that cards can't be topped up on trams or trains any longer. 3min walk to the tram stop at the corner of Chapel St & Toorak Rd. If you drive, the nearest paid parking lots are available at the “Care Park Pty Ltd - 11-17 Daly St, South Yarra, VIC 3141" which is a 3min walk from us. Alternatively you may look online for other suitable parking options. If you just need to park your car temporarily for an hour or so, then you may observe the paid street parking signs around us. Other Things to Note: Heads up! There’s some construction next door from 7AM – 4 PM on weekdays. You may hear light daytime noise, but the apartment stays comfortable and fully functional. Key collection instructions will be sent after booking. Kindly share your estimated arrival time to help us prepare for your check-in. This pad accommodates 4 adults comfortably but a max of 6 overnight. Any more than 4 adult guests overnight will attract an extra AU$29 per night, per additional guest. The sleeping arrangement for the 5th and 6th adult would be on a 3-seater sofa bed which folds out to a queen. When we arrived in Melbourne, Yann was incredibly helpful in every way. She gave us clear instructions on where to find the key and what time to be there, and even called to let us know as soon as the room was ready. Throughout our stay, she was always available for anything we needed regarding the apartment or even advice about the local area. Yann was also very accommodating with our checkout, allowing us some extra time and making sure everything was handled smoothly and without any pressure.
