"We had really a nice stay in Maravu Lodge wirh a wonderful view of the ocean to enjoy the beautiful sunsets from our bure. The di e centers are vety close (we can really recommend "salt divers" with their daily dive trips to the rainbow reef) and also the restaurant inside the Lodge. We loved the delicous food. The staff was very helpful in organizing our trip to the Bouma waterfall. We enjoyed our stay a lot. "

"The positives: Lovely hotel/resort with large pool and beach front location gardens that are extremely well maintained. The best asset this hotel has is the staff who are extremely friendly & for whom nothing is too much trouble. There's a kid's club & various adult activities that occur every day. The hop on hop off 'Bula bus' ($12/adult/day, although you can buy a multi day ticket as well) runs every few mins between the Sheraton & other resort hotels & Port Denarau in Denerau Is. If you want a local experience, catch the yellow West bus which does the same route for $1.40\. Fiji Airlines has an office in the hotel so if you are flying out of Nadi you can check in your self & your bags at this office. The office is only open for a couple of hours twice a day so be sure to check when it's open if you want to use this service. The only negative: The buffet restaurant area is open to the outside & has netting around openings specifically to try & keep out Indian myna birds. These birds are present in plague proportions & are constantly flying around inside, pooping & picking up scraps of food from abandoned tables & even worse from the buffet itself. We were told that in a month or two the restaurant area would be modified & enclosed for 2 reasons, one so that the area could be air conditioned (desperately needed) & two, to keep birds out. In the meantime, buffet food should be under plastic domes so birds can't get to it. Management needs to fix this asap! "

"We had an incredible stay at the Sofitel. We had a family room which was clean and quiet and had a view of the ocean. Staff were lovely and so helpful, always very friendly. Pool and amenities were also perfect, the pool was so clean and so many empty chairs to choose from. We had a small issue with our air conditioner breaking one night and they moved us to a new room immediately, they made everything so easy. Highly recommend, perfect for families. "

"My husband and I traveled to Fiji from Sydney and stayed for 5 nights at the Hilton. We booked a beachfront room- the view from the room was amazing. The resort has a spa, gym, 3 main restaurants and 1 for snacks. There is a buggy service through the resort every 5 minutes, since the resort is around 2.5 km big. This service makes moving around very convenient. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The spa services and food were on the expensive side, but that’s how everything on Denarau Island is. We would highly recommend a stay at the Hilton."
