The staff were so nice and helpful, especially the gentleman in the breakfast room who got me decaf every day The hotel is on one end of the Spaniarda Square, a short five minute walk to the center of things but quiet. The hotel is old-fashioned but that is its charm; everything was clean and in working order. And breakfast was very good; so plentiful we didn't eat again until late afternoon every day. I don't think there is a better place to stay in Corfu Old Town!" The staff were very helpful. We rented one of the villas, which was very roomy and spacious. However, the villa did not look like the pictures on the website, it appears they photographed their villa with the nicest ground and promoted that as all villas, so this is something to be aware of. Further, to get to the villas there is something like 200 plus stairs so you are required to use an elevator to go up. The elevator had a mechanical pulley system and was quite small and rickity. Twice during our stay the elevator was out of order; luckily once we were going down and the other time they brought a golf cart to pick us up. I am surprised it wasn't mentioned in prior reviews. However, I do believe this is one of the nicer hotels on the island, as we heard from a lot of other travellers and taxi drivers." That alone was worth staying here, but in addition, the room was comfortable. The facility was clean and charming. Only mention is our room had a tub set up only and was a little slippery tricky to get in and out for a shower. The staff were superb and helpful at every turn. The location is ideal easy to walk to charming ann Capri and the shuttle service and local transport helps with other places. We utilized the convenient the pick up and drop off shuttle service. Eat breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed a wonderful meal at the restaurant too. The little cave like steam room was so cute. The hotel is well managed, and we hope to return someday."
