This spacious home is the perfect spot to vacation, work remotely, and connect with the people you love. Perched high on a sand dune and surrounded by nature. This property is the perfect blend of beach access and privacy. This is a fairly remote part of Lake Michigan which means you get incredible access to the water and gorgeous landscapes everywhere you look. Cell phone service, however, is virtually gone once you're about 5-7 minutes from the house. Using wi-fi to make calls and texts on Apple and some Android devices is an easy remedy once you arrive. At a minimum, guests will need to be able to climb a big set of stairs to get inside the home. Please be aware that we have a video doorbell at the front door for security purposes only. The device is in clear view and includes both a camera and microphone. The Silver Lake / Hart area has the vacation goodies you need--incredible hiking, biking, sand dunes, seasonal and locally-grown produce, and a slow-pace vibe to help you fully relax. The space This is a custom built 2,339 sq ft home with huge open-concept dining, kitchen, and living. There are four bedrooms, two on the main floor and two on the top floor. Beach access is a 10-minute walk to public beach at Little Sable Point Lighthouse. We are all guests of Lake Michigan. Please be respectful of nature, property, and the community that's welcoming you. Other things to note If you're looking for privacy, nature, local produce and local food, recreation for the whole family, and zero fuss--this is the spot. This area is famous for ORV dune riding on Silver Lake Sand Dunes. Look it up if you don't know about it. It's like Mad Max up close and personal in summer. People come from all over! This area also has some really special qualities that are harder and harder to find these days. Here's a list of some of our favorite things about this community: \- Amazing local produce; seasonal eating at it's finest can be found on roadside stands and local grocery stores. \- Slow-pace; things move slower around here. It's a really chill vibe you just feel as soon as you hit the sweeping landscapes of the dunes and the water and the 4-season's Michigan fona. Vacation mode activated. \- Recreation; Ludington, Pentwater, Michigan's Adventure (water and amusement park about 40 minutes away), bike trails, lavender farms, dune hikes, Little Sable Point Lighthouse, fishing, and much more. \- Great food; La Probadita, Hansen's Grocery, Country Dairy, Cherry Pointe, and more. Loved the open floor plan, all the windows along the front of the house, the deck, the fire pit—our family (3 sons and their families) loved our stay and would certainly stay again! The location was terrific—at the end of a dead end street so it was nice and quiet, and just across the street and past the house there, we could enjoy the beach, lovely Lake MI, and all the gorgeous summer sunsets!!! The only little thing we’d want others to know is to keep the thermostat at 70 or below, so those staying in the upstairs bedrooms don’t melt. Understandable it’s much hotter upstairs, and if the thermostat gets bumped up any higher, the folks upstairs get quite warm (in the heat of summer). My husband, myself and our 3 adult children plus son in law and our son’s girlfriend stayed at this home for 5 nights in July. We loved this lake house and we have rented many over the years. All of the bedrooms are good sized (the primary is huge) and the beds are very comfortable. Bathrooms are updated very clean. The great room has a sectional that easily fit 6 adults with several other comfy chairs- all 7 of us could watch a movie together comfortably! Kitchen is large and open to the great room and dining area so we could socialize from every area! The deck is very large and all 7 of us could eat together at the table and the furniture is very comfortable. We could see sunsets from the deck! Sometimes places we have rented will say they are 5 minutes from the lake but it is actually much longer—this home really is just a 5 minute walk to the beach! It is a fairly steep driveway one needs to walk down but even our 71/2 month pregnant daughter did not find it overly taxing! Then it is a quick walk past another house and down the dune to the beach which was enormous!!!! There was literally nobody for the equivalent of several blocks on either side of us! Maybe because it was right after the week of the 4th? we certainly enjoyed the privacy and space to play some softball! :) There is not much cell service on the beach so you can’t text someone to bring down more drinks etc but we realized this ahead of time and brought walkie-talkies! The house is even larger and more beautiful in person. 5 minute walk to the beach which is located far from the crowded areas which was really nice. The location is perfect! The home itself is beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you need. The outdoor space is private with a view you will never want to leave. The sound of Lake Michigan greets you as soon as you open the car door. The hosts were in contact whenever we had a question. Our family has been going on vacation with 3 generations for years. This is the best place we have been! I need to add that we visited off season and NOTHING in town was open. Even the gas station closed at 7pm. So be sure if you do the same, bring your groceries and entertainment. Although there is a very nice library at the house and lots of games. We had planned to do all of our own cooking, so we brought what we needed. Our family truly enjoyed our time at this beautiful home and hope to return! ##### Richard N.
