The proprietor seems to put a lot of effort into making it welcoming and livable. I enjoyed having a full kitchen and basic ingredients (spices, cooking oil, coffee, tea, etc.) without having to buy full quantities. Some older details need work like the shower faucet. It was tricky to figure out how to change the temp. Loved having a laundry facility and free parking! All in all a great little spot to call temporary home. Nice and cozy. Quiet for the most part. You’re right next to hwy 101 so it’s to be expected hearing hwy traffic. The only complaint I had was the musty order. There is a leak somewhere. There should be a dish rack to dry dishes after you wash them. It appears that people have been putting wet dishes in the cabinets and it contributes to the musty oder. Can be overwhelming. Plenty of towels and blankets. Nice water pressure. A few little things were missing that would make it nicer to be there, like a dish rack, a broom and dustpan. In about a year this will probably be better, but right now there is new housing construction happening in the lots adjacent to this one so it is noisy. Good location to see Sue Meg State Park, Clam Beach, the Redwoods. The bedroom is very bright in the morning with lightweight blinds and sheer curtains, pretty but if you need a dark room to sleep, this is not your place. Oh and as cute as the idea is, don’t expect the record player to work. It does not hold speed and the sound is weird and warped. For the cost, this was great. The host is really quick to respond.
