One safety concern we hope the owner will address is the height of the side rails with the upper bunk beds. They are currently not adequate with the thicker mattresses currently on the beds. We had such a great time. The home is very comfortable. The 3 primary suites were large and having their own full baths was great for privacy. We rented a pontoon boat to enjoy the lake. It's very convenient to restaurants and grocery stores. The outside decking is large and a great gathering spot. Base Camp has a huge deck overlooking the lake and we enjoyed many meals and family time out there. The interior accommodations met our needs. The easy slope down to the dock was also appreciated. Some of our family members had difficulty with the rock steps that lead to the dock. Overall, I would highly recommend Base Camp for anyone that wants to just relax and enjoy the peaceful Deep Creek Lake experience. ##### Don S. Also the yard is gently sloped and has a brick walkway which makes access to the lake stress free. Only issue is that the one queen bed upstairs needs to be replaced as it slopes to the middle. The house was largest enough to meet everyone's needs. Base Camp was right on the lake with a private dock and location was just a few miles from shopping, restaurants and amusements and arcade for the grandchildren.
