Although NO pets are allowed in this house, pets brought to Massanutten must always be leashed & cleaned up after. 5\. SMOKING: Smoking is NOT allowed on the premise. A surcharge fee of $295 will be assessed if it is determined that smoking occurred on the premises. No cigarettes, marijuana, e-cigarettes, vapes, cigars, pipes, bongs, hookahs, candles, incense, wax melts, or plug-ins. The booking guest is responsible for making all guests aware of this rule. 6\. PARTIES: Absolutely NO PARTIES allowed! Failure to follow this rule will result in immediate termination of your rental with no refund & a surcharge fee of $885 charged to the guest. Out of respect for our neighbors, this home is not suitable for any events or parties. 7\. PARKING IN DRIVEWAY: Parking is limited to 4 cars in the driveway. No vehicle larger than 3/4 ton may be parked in a driveway. 8\. Keep the home & all furnishings in good order. 9\. Only use appliances for their intended use & follow the instructions & guidance provided in the Welcome Guide. 10\. STORMS: If there is a storm or named hurricane, no refunds will be given. OUTDOOR FIRES: This is high wildfire risk area therefore open fires & unattended fires are prohibited. FIRE PIT usage is prohibited during quiet hours, 10pm-7am: Under no circumstance, should a fire be created in the fire pit without the use of the Base & Spark Screen nor left unattended while a fire is active or smoldering. Firepits & grills may be restricted during local emergency conditions, check MassanuttenVillage dot com or electronic sign at entrance for updates. 13\. GARBAGE & TRASH: Do not place garbage or trash outside, including screened-in porches, decks or car ports. Garbage & trash attract wildlife, which could endanger you & damage the property. All garbage & trash is disposed of into trash bags, placed within the animal resistant trash bin, & with the lid securely closed. Excess garbage & trash, where the trash bin lid cannot be closed securely, must be take the Massanutten Property Owner’s Association Community Trash dumpster located at 4007 Peak Dr., Massanutten, VA 22840\. If there is loose garbage &/or trash within the trash bin, a surcharge fee of $35 will be charged to the guest. 14\. CHECK-OUT: Late check-outs cannot be accommodated due to the time conflicts of our cleaners servicing many other properties. If determined that check-out is after 10:00am, a surcharge of $70 will be charged to the guest for every hour after 10:00am that check-out does not occur. 15: NOISE: Noise that is unreasonable in the judgement of MPOA or its designated agent is prohibited at any time. Quiet Hours are between 10PM & 7AM, therefore noise must be kept indoors during this time period. 16: GENERAL PARKING: All tires must be off the roadway. Do not block fire hydrants or park in front of another property without written approval from the host. No buses, campers, or RVs are to be parked at homes or on roads. Our family had plenty of places to rest, play, and eat together. The coffee system was amazing and fun for those of us who are coffee lovers. There was plenty of gathering space, comfortable beds, and a nice, updated, well-stocked kitchen. We enjoyed using the sauna, but it seemed as though the hot tub needed a thorough cleaning. The beautiful mountain views from the very spacious screened in sunroom was my favorite. My children loved the game room and karaoke. The house was spacious. From the ease of booking, updating the number of guests, to check-in to checkout the Blairs have thought of EVERYTHING! Erika was responsive from the moment I requested to reserve the gorgeous chalet at 3 in the morning. She stayed in constant communication and accommodated my request to add two additional guests post booking. Upon arrival everything was EXACTLY as advertised, or better than expected. For instance, there were more than enough toiletries, cooking essentials such as cooking spray, aluminum foil, FRESH creamer, half and half, etc. for our stay of 5 nights. There were 2 pack and plays and high chairs for my 11 month old granddaughter, which saved us from having to move them up & down the stairs or when dining on the outside area. The house was immaculately clean from top to bottom and fridge, stove/oven, dishwasher, ice maker, sauna & hot tub ready to be used. The bathrobes and slippers were a great touch, but note that the bathrobes are NOT complimentary, as I mistakenly informed my family they were. But, Erika provides a thorough checkout process informing you of this...I unfortunately did not read it until AFTER we'd checked out. Erika was still gracious, kind and told me not to worry about it,VRBO's insurance would cover the cost, so definitely take the insurance if booking your trip with VRBO. This has been the best Massanutten vacation my family and I've had and Mountain Escape's expansive layout and amenities helped make it possible! ##### Eugenia H.
