This beautiful, spacious cabin is located inside the community of Massanutten Resort and offers the perfect family retreat. The main level is an open space housing the living room with a stone wood-burning fireplace, and a comfy, sectional sofa, a spacious dining room, and an eat-in kitchen. The lower-level recreation room features a 75" TV and air hockey table. Outside you’ll find a lovely outdoor space including a patio with a hot tub, a gas fire pit, a gas grill for a cookout, and a sizable, screened porch with seating for lounging or eating. Amenities include hot tub, fire pit, game room, Xfinity cable, Netflix, gas grill, and 800 mbps wifi. The Shenandoah Valley offers many attractions including caverns, wineries and breweries. The closest Shenandoah River access is only 10 miles from the house. Enjoy tubing and kayaking during warm weather. The Swift Run Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park, Skyline Drive and The Appalachian Trail is only 15 miles away and offers excellent hiking opportunities. However, it is located inside the community of Massanutten and minutes from skiing, snow and grass tubing, ice skating, two golf courses, indoor/outdoor water park, mountain biking, ziplining, putt-putt, go-karts, tennis, swimming, fishing, parks and more! You’ll also have access to 30 miles of hiking trails. The pool is a community pool for the private homes in Massanutten. It is available for use by our guests from Memorial Day through Labor Day for $6/person/day (subject to change). MPOA Pool availability is subject to, and at the discretion of the Massanutten Property Owner Association. Tennis courts are also located by the pool. Most Resort activities are available to our guests for an additional fee and should be booked online before your arrival, through TripForth's Ticket Link. \*\*Please note some activities may sell out in advance, especially on holidays and weekends. This home is part of the Massanutten Property Owners Association (MPOA) and is governed by its rules and regulations as well as federal and state laws and ordinances.This is a residential community - please respect the community and the neighbors and know your nearby neighbors may be full time residents. \*Please review the HOA Rules below and in your rental contract. Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8 am during which time the noise from the house shall not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors. No excessive noise at any time, as judged by MPOA or its assigned agents. This home has designated parking (a driveway). All tires must be off the roadway if parked on the road. Do not block fire hydrants. Do not park in front of another property. There is an overflow parking area if needed, located at 4007 Peak Drive, Massanutten. Buses, campers, and RV’s may not be parked at houses or along neighborhood roads. Parking rules violators may be subject to having their vehicles towed. No open fires permitted in Massanutten. This is a high wildfire risk area! Fires are strictly prohibited at this property except in the designated fire pit provided. A spark screen must be used at all times and the fire may NEVER be left unattended. Fire pit may not be used during quiet hours of 10pm to 8 am. Firepits and grills may be restricted during local emergency conditions. No illegal substances are permitted at the home and open containers of alcohol are prohibited on any road or common area. No smoking inside the house. Smoking in the house will incur a $750 fine. Smoking is allowed outside of the house, but all butts are to be cleaned up and safely removed. All Trash must be taken to the dumpsters located at 4007 Peak Drive, Massanutten, at check out. A minimum fee of $75 will be assessed if trash is not removed. Trash may not be left outside the home as it will attract wildlife which could endanger you and damage the property. Trash should be removed regularly. \*\*\*Pre-Approved Dogs are allowed for a $100 per-dog fee (plus tax), maximum of 2 dogs. Pre-approved dogs are required to be on a leash when outside. You must clean up after your pets. \*This home is located in the woods. You will likely see insects (including some that fly) and arachnids. It's about ten minutes from Massanutten Resort activities, but right across the street from the waterpark which was really convenient since you can come and go all day when you visit the waterpark/arcade. We had a great stay for a long weekend away with friends! The house was clean and well stocked. Kids and adults enjoyed the hot tub. We were surprised to see the house was not within Massanutten resort but it’s across the street from the Waterpark entrance, about 10min to top of mountain for snow sports. We loved how private the back patio felt and the gas fire pit was a great feature. Pay attention though, when the listing says the driveway is steep - it’s STEEP!! Like, doesn’t level out ant the top and is angled so sharply that our truck that was low on gas wouldn’t start because the sensor couldn’t read the tank level due to the angle! We loved the different hang-out areas, the younger ones in the group could get loud in the lower level without bothering us oldies. Close to the national park, wineries, etc. and very close to all the resort attractions. Home was clean and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Only complaint was that we had to drive the garbage eight miles up the mountain to take it out. Clear communication, check in & out was super easy, beds were comfortable, very clean - although we're in the woods, there was not a bug to be seen! Kitchen was fairly well stocked though there were some things that would've been nice to have like smaller sized plates and bowls, but nothing critical was missing. There were plenty of supplies like toilet paper, paper towels, etc provided for our stay as well. The air hockey table, hot tub, fireplace, and connect 4 games made the stay cozy and fun. It was extremely clean and well stocked with all things necessary. We didn’t have to bring anything except for food and our personal items. If you are coming to explore the Massanutten area, this is a great location. You are a very short drive from all attractions.Check in and check out was super easy. And everyone was very receptive and attentive. The home is well decorated very fun for our family. lots of games and entertainment and a wonderful hottub. The beds were extremely comfortable as well. This home was also pet friendly, which was great for us. Everything was very nice and the only reason I would not give it a five is the following. The house is on an extreme inclined driveway. Members of the family were worried and preferred to actually climb up the driveway instead of riding the car. Something to consider. Other thing was since we had our dog with us. The yard is extremely small and on the hill it’s very hard to take the dog for a walk to stay close by the property. The home is not very private. There are two neighbors one on each side. And the last thing that I would say that the owners should look into is the heater makes a very, very loud noise and woke us up every night and it’s right under the master bedroom if you can take care of this it would be very helpful. We still really really enjoyed our stay in the.the home was lovely and stock with treats for the kids and hot chocolate and popcorn and we very much appreciate. ##### Ana O. Due to recent health issues we were unable to travel very far so we chose Massanutten. We had the most wonderful time enjoying each others company. There is plenty of room in this home. Our favorite spot was the screened in porch. We prepared dinner in the well stocked kitchen and ate on the porch almost every night. We cleared the table and then played family games until we couldn't stay awake. Easy check in and out. Our only issue that should have been communicated better was the steepness of the driveway, lol. I am recovering from a broken foot, sprained ankle and pulmonary embolisms and let me tell you that hill is no joke. They do provide chocks for your cars, which is suggested! So easy to turn the driveway to the right at the top and make a more level spot to park at least one car for us older folk.
