Nestled in Victor Harbor, on the Fleurieu Peninsula, this 1945 cottage isn’t just a place to stay—it’s an invitation to live a little more slowly and a little more beautifully. Fisherman’s Cottage was designed by local photographer of The Hatchery fame, Winnie Packer. And now belongs to the carefully curated collection by Mum and daughter duo Bel and Kay Atkins - creating spaces that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a dream. They are also behind other beautifully crafted Airbnbs in the area, including Seafarers Lodge in Middleton, Herrings House in Willunga, and Penny Shack on Kangaroo Island, just across the ocean from Fisherman's. Jan 16, 2026 Liked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy The house presented well - the kitchen well equipped - overall decor was lovely. Unfortunately there was a musty smell in the front bedroom combined with many scented candles was overwhelming. For the high cost of cleaning it looked as though it had had a 'quick' check over. The bath area was full of leaves which had attracted a few cockroaches but, given it is outside, I over looked this. We tried to open the outside window to sit and have our breakfast and it was very dirty and difficult to open. It was not easy to close. We also wanted to have a BBQ but it was dirty so had to cook inside. Our relaxing sleep-in was disturbed by the neighbour's early morning renovations. Overall a bit disappointing.
