This was a great spot for the hot spring in the area. The only thing we felt bothered is the listing says it has a loft the kids can sleep and watch movies. There are zero kid movies available for kids in the hole house. The TV in the room with the couches doesn't have any way to watching anything. No DVD player. Awesome location with easy access throughout McCall. Loved having a huge garage to store all the bikes and paddleboards. The A/C was excellent. A few downfalls for feedback. Check-in process was not smooth. The provided code was incorrect and we sat on hold for over 30 minutes with Vacasa in 90 degree heat before finally getting the correct code. Lots of dog hair throughout the house and the floors were quite dirty, in need of a good mopping. Could have used more bath towels and there was very limited washcloths. Couldn't ever get the living room light on (perhaps the overhead light chain was broken off?). Kitchen didn't have a large cutting board and there were no BBQ utensils, only plastic spatulas. The kitchen beautiful and fully stocked, the bathrooms are gorgeous and provided soaps and things. We loved the giant garage and the loft is perfect for older kids! The neighbors were even super sweet as well! The only thing I would mention is to be aware the master bedroom was taped underneath so maybe make sure no one too heavy is sleeping on that bed, and the bed upstairs has a huge indent and is very bumpy. Aug 7, 2025 #### Large House In Wonderful Mountain Town McCall is a gem whether you are from Idaho or further away. This is a nice, large home in a quiet neighborhood that was great for our group. The hot tub was a hit! The house is newer and is a nice custom built home, and the layout makes for some quiet spaces (the loft above the garage), and some noisy areas-big dining room is wonderful, but noise easily travels upstairs. Furnishings and cleanliness are not luxury. We didn't have issues with the beds as some other reviews on VRBO indicated, but we did with the dishwasher, towels, enough silverware, etc. The house needs a deep cleaning. I would rent it again if needed but my expectations would not be too high. On the downside, the fans up and down would not work, there were no washcloths anywhere, and there is a major shortage on bathrooms. There are only two showers in the whole place and one is in the master. So 4 bedrooms of people have to share one shower. The master bedroom needs a new mattress is too soft and worn out, and it is too tall for older people. 3\. Living room fireplace control did not work. 4\. Nov 10, 2023 #### Very Disappointing! Stay somewhere else It was very disappointing because it is a nice house. I think it is just an investment property for someone who doesn't care about the house. Most of the windows still had the manufacturer stickers on them...not because they're brand new, they just left them on, the house is 2-3 years old. We had intermittent Brown water coming out of every faucet and showers our whole stay (5 days)...it was disgusting. Tons of room for improvement with this place! ##### James W. Jun 23, 2025 #### Nice home, frustrating experience Before coming, I called Vacasa to ask if there was a pack and play or a high chair in the home. They told me no because it wasn't listed. So we brought those items in our already crowded vehicle only to find out the house had them. That was frustrating. Upon arrival we all ran to pick out bedrooms as usual. In two of the bedrooms we found dirty bed coverings. They both had clear, crusty spots on them. Clearly they were dirty. That immediately set a bad tone. I had to wash and dry them before bed that night. Not what I needed after a long day of travel. Needless to say from that point on I questioned the cleanliness of the home. I had to wash all of the dishes before we used them. There was dried food on some of the dishes and silverware. The home isn't well stocked-old cookie sheets, only one roll of paper towel for the entire stay, zero plastic wrap or baggies etc. Bring your own. The front door had a broken handle the entire time we were there. They did ask if you could come over and fix, but who wants a stranger in the home bothering your newborn and dogs while they are on vacation? No one. Frustrating all around. Also they came to service the hot tub before we had even left. We did love the huge garage and the option of the bunk rooms. It was wonderful to have a nice hot tub. Vacasa was responsive when we had a few small concerns. The house did have a few things that need to be addressed but I think now that management has been made aware they will be fixed. The house is well-equipped in the kitchen. I appreciate that adequate towels and bedding were provided for both showering and using the hot tub. The checkout responsibilities were very minimal which is also helpful since checkout is 10:00\. Laundry tabs and washer/dryer were provided. The parking space in the garage and driveway was useful. The loft is quite separate from the rest of the living area - you have to go through the garage to get there. The garage is unheated, as are the stairs to ascend, but the loft warms up nicely with its heating unit. One of the top bunks is fairly uncomfortable as they have tucked it up under the angled ceiling. Anyone sleeping there would have to be careful not to hit their head and body against the ceiling if they moved around at all. Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay and we had a great time! ##### Amber G.
