I liked the staff. They were very nice and helpful. Loved easy access to the beach. The only thing I noticed that one of the elevators did not line up with the floor level on the fifth floor causing me to trip walking off the elevator. Overall, would recommend this hotel.

The property was nice, the staff was courteous and attentive. They do "nickel & dime" you quite a bit. Charge $20-$30 for bottled water - in the room and dining!

If loud traffic isn’t your thing then stay in the Centro Historico, and if you want to use the jacuzzi you’ll have to listen to the time share info, but otherwise GREAT!!

Fairly well-maintained older property. Room was good size and cleaning staff did a great job. Street noise is quite loud. Food is ok. But lots of good dining options in walking distance. Within walking distance of start of Malecon.

We always enjoy our time at the Costa de Oro. The staff in all areas are amazing and work very hard to make your time here comfortable and safe. Unfortunately they have developed a 2 tier system which gives some gold bracelet patrons access to the only hot tub and a special area with more comfortable lounge chairs. This was not listed as an option for us. A bit disappointed as we have been coming here since 1996.

Had to change dates due to death of a family member and was not helped even though I had purchased hotel protection plan. Tried to change the date and add the day I had missed due to the emergency and was not able to. I was charged a night without staying there. When I tried asking for 3 family members to be added to the room for one night, I was asked to upgrade and was not given any discount or anything for the night that I was at the hotel. Parking is across the street and about a block away and don’t offer any responsibility for theft or damage of vehicles. Pool closes at 9 and was kicked out at 8:40 because the lifeguard did not want to stay. 10/10 would not recommend.

We had a great short stay here. Loved the service at the pool and restaurants. Our servers were prompt, warm, and very friendly. The food everywhere was delicious, especially the poolside ceviche. The room had an awesome view and was comfortable. It was as expected, a bit in need of updating, but perfectly acceptable. We enjoyed walking on the beach during the quiet of the mornings and sitting Oceanside at the breakfast buffet. Noise is definitely a concern as Las Bandas played so loudly late into the evening- but, it’s part of the experience so if you embrace it, you’ll enjoy it.

Overall it was a good experience and I would stay there again, the rooms definitely need a major update but overall it was a nice stay, the pool is heated which is a plus when going before June, walkable distance to restaurants etc (I recommend Marys right in front of the building)

Costa de oro is very family oriented. Nice, big pool and great atmosphere. They have activities throughout the day for kids and some for adults. Pool is next to the beach and our room view was excellent. The only thing they should remodel rooms for more modern design.

Property needs an update but locations is amazing. On our last day electricity and water went out an hour before our check out water came back just in time for us to take a shower but not able to do May hair because no electricity in the room and had to get down 8 floors because the elevators were out of service. Love that everything is so close to El malecón and that there so many dinning options

The property is pretty dated with only 1 pool. There is not much for dining but lots of restaurants outside of hotel. We did not do all inclusive for that reason. They tell you it’s a queen bed but they are doubles and one of our mattresses had a big sag on one side!

I have stayed here on 2 other occasions and the rooms have been great with comfy beds a big plus for me. The room I stayed in this time was the same layout as the other rooms but on the ground floor. The first thing I noticed as I entered the room was the smell of musty air and probably mold. This was unfortunate because I ended up with a sinus infection and headache.

Staff are friendly and the property is charming. The rooms are mediocre and often smell moldy. Our room did not have a good view and was right beside the elevator and business office - it was loud and our patio did not feel private. The music playing at the pool is always too loud and the microphone for afternoon activities. The food is not as good as it once was and Menu prices are high. The pool needs to be deep cleaned and there are holes in the floor of it. While we were there the lifeguards saved a teenager from drowning and security is always present - safety is not an issue here.

Check in and out was easy, prices were very reasonable, pool was a great temperature and our room was as expected. Service was a little slow at pool but waiter was very friendly and maid was late in the day and spoke no English but did a great job.

So much construction going on in Mazatlán. It was super noisy but good for the economy I suppose and not the resorts fault at all. It was a good stay over all. Be sure you read the amenities list while booking a room or be prepared to ask for an upgrade if you missed something. Walk able distance to Zona Dorado on the beach or street. The pool and beach area are top notch but the bar is a little lacking on their mixed drink quality.

Our first time at this hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Right on the beach with a nice pool. The one thing we were less excited about was the Mariachi bands that would travel up and down the beach playing until 8:00 or so, but that's not a hotel issue. The beds were not as comfortable as we were accustomed to, much to hard for our liking. Otherwise a pleasant time. Staff are wonderful.
