Experience authentic Puerto Rican life in a beautiful, safe, and culturally vibrant community at a one-of-a-kind beach, house and barrio. Casa De Abuelos is a family home on the black sand beach (Playa Arena Negra) of Playa Los Bohios. Whether you enjoy relaxing in your own private paradise or discovering local beaches, food, drinks, fishing, surfing, hiking, or nature, Maunabo has something for everyone. We offer you our modern beach house and invite you to vacation in our quaint paradise. This entire home is a private, charming and modern rehabilitated house on Playa Los Bohios in Maunabo, Puerto Rico. Casa de Abuelos is a private family beach house managed by MIRA Puerto Rico! The property features 100-feet of beachfront with a gorgeous outdoor patio and fire pit designed to roast meats in tribute of barbecue techniques introduced by the Taino Indians . On the beachfront patio, families and groups can sunbathe and enjoy the beach, and even roast a pig (lechon asado) in Puerto Rican style.  
  
This beachfront house is an entire private home and includes 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a kitchen and living room. A wrap-around balcony offers 180-degree views of Maunabo’s beloved lighthouse (El Faro), the Caribbean Sea, and lush-green mountains. The balcony includes a bistro-style table for dining and Bluetooth outdoor speakers to enjoy the views and vibes of this location in paradise. The beach is accessed by stairway (33 steps total), which can be difficult for the elderly or physical unfit to traverse.  
  
The master bedroom is designed to invoke the feeling of being immersed in the turquoise blue waters of the Caribbean Sea on sunny and calm days. On clear days, the view of the Caribbean blends together with the interior with multiple windows and an 8-foot seaglass-tinted door that opens to the balcony. This bedroom is tastefully decorated and includes a queen-size bed with a dresser, nightstand, and closet storage.  
  
The second bedroom is designed to be a calming accommodation for up to four children and includes a full-size bed and futon. A second Roku TV is mounted in this room and is configured with popular streaming apps to login to. This bedroom also includes a makeup vanity and bench, nightstand and closet storage.  
  
The house is equipped with super-fast WiFi (500+ Mbps download / 30 Mbps upload speeds), which extends to the backyard and secluded beachfront on Playa Los Bohios. A 55” Roku TV is mounted in the living room to be enjoyed from a comfortable and oversized brown leather couch and chaise. The coffeetable includes a rising tabletop that makes it easy to enjoy everything from snacking to working on a computer from the couch.  
  
The kitchen is compact and includes a window to the Caribbean Sea to make preparing and cooking food a joyful experience. Stainless steel appliances and countertops provide a clean and bright aesthetic and are complemented with cookware, dishware, and utensils organized to provide everything needed to prepare typical meals.  
  
The bathroom has been newly renovated with a bright porcelain throne and a vanity with an oversized mirror that includes interior storage for personal items and toiletries.  
  
Note: This area of Puerto Rico has occasional power outages, and we provide a gasoline generator with instructions for guest use during an outage.
