Great place to stay

Posted 21-Feb-2017
Pros: The views of the ocean and islands.
Cons: Parking fees could be included especially since we already are paying resort fee
Location: To many things to list just explore
We came in on January 21 one of the windiest days of the year. Lobby area is open and everything was blowing around, this made it very hard on the staff to check us in that night. He did a short version to try to get us to our room faster, that was appreciated even though we missed some details. The room had great views of the ocean and mountains. The room was very clean, The room was dated with cast iron tub and tub surround, and older fixtures, doors and closet but everything worked. The staff was very nice and helped when every we asked. We rented a cabana for two days on the beach and it was very nice and at an average price of other locations we stayed. You do have to pay $20.00 for parking and also a resort fee. This tends to add up in a 7 day stay. The location and views are great and that is why you come to Maui.

Eh

Posted 18-Feb-2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Cleanliness
Location: Whalers village is within walking distance and a few other shops.
I chose this hotel because it is on the beach. Our driver, we had to pay an outside company, told us it was one of the oldest hotels on this side f the island. It showed. Nothing was in your face dirty, and we were comfortable. It was little things like around the light switches was dirty, there were knat like bugs in the shower that became very clear after we showered. When we checked in the front desk said we were staying in a new part. There are too many other options for me to stay there again. It was not bad but not great at all.

Loved being on Black Rock

Posted 18-Feb-2017
Our view was spectacular from our room-prime for whale watching! Ocean front room is the way to go. Very quiet side of the resort, yet steps away from all the action, spa and restaurants. Staff very friendly.

Great Maui Resort Stay!

Posted 16-Feb-2017
We stayed at the Sheraton Maui in the beginning of February. We had family who stayed at the resort before and were really excited for our trip. Check-in at the hotel and the staff was great. We let them know we were celebrating our anniversary and they set us up with a great view! Our room was very clean and comfy. Our overall experience was fantastic and we will certainly stay here again if we venture back to Maui. The restaurants were good but a little pricey (too be expected). The pool area was great as well. The beach in front of the hotel has eroded, out of the hotels control, but that was a little disappointing. The snorkeling at Black Rock is really great! We saw a ton of fish, an eel and a sea turtle. I highly recommend bringing your own snorkel gear or renting some from the resort ($8/hr). The only thing I didn't care for was the added resort fee ($25/day) and parking fee (1st night fee and then $20/day after that). For how much the hotel costs per night it would be great if those pieces were just included. Especially the parking - you don't really have too many options other than a car on Maui.

Everything good but pool not heated and that was very disappointing. Was not able to use very much. Also weight and laundry room was very inconvenient go get to. Staff was great and beautiful grounds.

Beautiful resort hotel

Posted 10-Feb-2017
Pros: The views from the room were great. The pool area is quite expansive of it is easy to find space to lay out.
Cons: The clothing closet is in the bathroom....a very bad idea. There is little draw in the entire room to accommodate your clothes.
Quite expensive, but a beautiful hotel resort. Hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful.

Great location and awesome beach

Posted 10-Feb-2017
Hotel was very nice, beach was great, and parking was easy. My only complaint was while checking out, the person behind the counter was short with me while I asked a question about my loyalty points. While I was overlooking my bill she made me feel rushed by double reminding me "that is all." There was no line behind me and I was only there for maybe a minute in total.
