Hi Theresa, We are so sorry to hear you had such an upsetting time. I would like to point out that you booked a room CATEGORY and not a specific unit. If you put a preference in online when you booked the room, the company DID NOT communicate those needs to us. The reservation we received from Expedia is for TWO PEOPLE, not two couples. You also did not provide clearances for the other 3 adults in the room. Furthermore, our office tried to call you during your stay and you did not answer. We did leave a voicemail to call us back. If you did need us, we sent you multiple emails with our After Hours phone number. Our guests are not abandoned after 4pm when the office is closed- you actually have access to a real person all night until we reopen at 8am. I hope this brings light to your situation. I am so sorry that your friends had to sleep on the floor.

I've taken some time to go over your folio and reservation notes and I didn't see any record of you calling us to fix the air conditioning for you. Had we known, we would have loved to do anything to make sure you were comfortable. Furthermore, as you rented a condo and not a hotel, in your contract it is specified that daily maid service is available for purchase but not provided throughout your stay. Typically there are instructions to obtain this information in your confirmation letter, as to avoid such measures after your travel. Your confirmation letter also contains information about the starter pack you receive in the beginning of your stay and your responsibility to replenish independently throughout your vacation. Regardless, I am so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your vacation and were able to maximize your ideal vacation and optimal surroundings for your time on Maui. Aloha and thank you for your review. Not all of the condos at Kihei Akahi have air conditioning. If this is something that you need, you may have to book an individual condo that specifically offers it. I am sorry that you found bugs in your condo. In a tropical climate, it is very common to see bugs. All types of bugs. We try our best to make sure the condos do not have bugs. The association does quarterly pest control and we will do additional pest control as needed. If our guests find that there are bugs, we are happy to help take care of it. Aloha and thank you for your feedback. This property does not guarantee AC because not all of the condos have a window AC unit. Expedia does NOT advertise it as having AC. No AC is pretty common in a lot of the condos in Kihei. So if this is something that you prefer, you will have to look for a property that guarantees it. Our condos are stocked with all of the essentials that you would need, and more.
