Our studio cottage was located right on the water, so we got to enjoy gorgeous views and a convenient launch-off for some great kayaking! The interior was very well-kept and clean, bed and sheets were extremely comfortable, and having both a bath and separate shower was a big bonus for me and my +1\. It was clear that a lot of care and attention was put into making sure the cottage was an enjoyable and comfortable stay. The cottage was clean and check in/out was easy. My husband fished the entire time we were there and caught mangrove snapper, redfish, flounder, sheepshead’s and lady fish right off the property! We met the cleaning lady and the maintenance man while we were there and they both were a pleasure to speak with. Getting in and out of the driveway can be a little tricky at certain times but if you make friends with the neighbors they will stop traffic long enough for you to get out. Everyone we met in Matlacha was so friendly and with the cottage being walking distance to shops, food and parks was such a bonus!
