Mata Chalupe Vacation Packages

Our stay was Apr 8-15, 2026. Our room was cleaned well everyday for us. We had a small hiccup with our A/C the condensation line was clogged and the ceiling leaked and drywall fell. We were able to contact maintenance and they came quickly and repaired the issue, they were going to come back and repair the ceiling the next day but we told them it could wait until we left to be done. We spent our time at the large pools by the ocean and in the ocean. The pools were fun and clean, except maybe the party pool with the swim up bar, but that might just be my feelings about it. I felt there could have been more loungers and more spots for shade, but we did not “reserve” chairs and each day found at least 2-4 for our crew to sit in. I wish they would reinforce the no reserving chairs as lots sat with towels in prime spots without people for very long periods of time or the entire day. Same goes for down at the ocean area. We enjoyed dinner at Il Capriccio, Takara Asian fusion and Flame. By far our favourite was Takara. It was a nice quiet intimate dinner experience with quality food. I have seen lots of complaints online about the construction going on, but it had no effect on our stay. We chose to avoid the middle pool because it was across from the construction and they were jackhammering out the pool deck across the road. We stayed in la Ilsa area and you couldn’t hear it. I think things will settle down once they are done jack hammering. Overall we had a great time!

It’s very clean The staff is great The food is also good The weird part is you are only allowed one beach towel swap per day!! And they don’t care if it rained or not… you end up dripping back to your room by the end of the day

Every single staff member was amazing! All of them greeted you and wanted you to enjoy your trip to its fullest!
